  1. My theater's acting weird with Alita too. For whatever reason, it currently has showtimes starting at Wednesday morning and through the day. I don't know if that was a mistake, but it is kinda weird, especially when every other theater's just doing previews.
  2. Lego Movie 2 2,552 4,130 8,601 What Men Want 1,383 2,505 5,405 Cold Pursuit 181 827 2,155 The Prodigy 161 359 847 Lego: 130% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (57.4M) 161% of Christopher Robin (39.5M) 85% of The Grinch (57.6M) 272% of Bumblebee (59M) It has come back to Earth a little bit, but still very impressive. 55M seems like the likely scenario here, which would be quite solid. Men: 122% of I Feel Pretty (19.6M) 180% of Life of the Party (32.1M) 49% of Ocean's 8 (20.2M) 122% of A Simple Favor (19.6M) 152% of Night School (41.3M) 314% of Nobody's Fool (43.2M) 449% of Second Act (29.1M)

  4. Essentially, the trailer will be in front of Prodigy tomorrow, then online Friday
  5. How do you live with yourself knowing that fact?
  6. http://www.deluxecdn.com/dcinema//projectionistletter/projectionistletter_happy_death_day_2u_usa_20190213_143723.pdf Getting the first trailer in front of Happy Death Day. Also @grim22 @aabattery main thread
  7. Semetary has Hellboy in its second weekend. Llorona has Endgame. I rest my case

  9. btw Searchlight and 2000 are still mentioned as "coming aboard" in that article, and are mentioned after the "4-5 films a year" sentence. So the content they produce will likely still be fine (hopefully)
  10. Lego Movie 2 2,552 4,130 What Men Want 1,383 2,505 Cold Pursuit 181 827 The Prodigy 161 359 Lego: 154% of Hotel Transylvania 3 (68.2M) 169% of Christopher Robin (41.6M) 85% of Grinch (57.4M) 227% of Bumblebee (49.2M) This increased from every comp, especially Grinch and Bumblebee, which is always a great sign. Really feel like 50M is the floor at this point. Men: 155% of I Feel Pretty (24.9M) 191% of Life of the Party (34.2M) 57% of Ocean's 8 (23.8M) 118% of A Simple Favor (18.9M) 143% of Night School (38.9M) 278% of Nobody's Fool (38.2M) 410% of Second Act (26.6M) In contrast, Men's Tuesday comps are down from the Monday ones, apart from Ocean's 8, Night School and Second Act. Again, Night School feels like the best comparison for the type of movie Men is, but those drops do give me pause. Alita Early 66 65 Alita 689 742 Dragon 3 446 394 Captain Marvel 2,079 1,619 Us 68 47

  12. Was there a gay character in CRA? Weird to see it in the GLAAD Awards
  13. My theater's starving for new blood. This weekend, King, Serenity, Aquaman, Poppins and Spider-Verse are going away, and all four openers are coming in. Lego and Men are even getting two screens. The only remaining holdovers left are Miss Bala, Glass, and Upside, and they'll probably be gone by next Thursday. Those TC drops are gonna be glorious
