Happy Birthday, Mr. Pink!

if a movie didn't do a good job to capture it's intended crowd, it doesnt deserve shit. The ones that do are the champions of their job, it's not luck, it's hard work paying off, so they deserve it.
I never said Maleficent had bad promotion, because it didn't. And EoT for example was poorly advertised, but talking about the quality of the film it deserved better IMO. That's all I was saying. Maleficent deserves its money because the people behind it marketed it well.

"Impressive" in this case isn't a value judgement on the film. Clearly -- whether you liked it or not -- you have to admit it's been a far stronger performer than any other summer movie so far.
Of course. I just think other movies deserved a better run than they had. But obviously many people like Maleficent, and in a summer full of box office dissappointments it's nice to see something overperform.

Fairly impressive Maleficent is still bringing in over $1 million on its 40th day.
I would say it's rather sad, but we had that discussion like a 1000 times. I don't want to start another one.

While I do think that Apes will also end up in the low 90's on RT (like EoT and DOFP), its average score could definitely be higher.

The Bourne Identity is overrated.
ECSTASY will kill you for that.
I think the Star Wars Prequels are somewhat enjoyable.

My
face indicated worry and concern.
I didn't notice your emoticon at first.
Sorry for the misunderstanding then.

I think APES has a decent chance at opening sub-50.
Dat grumpiness.

Why are you always asking questions, goddammit.
He's still very young and he has only been on this forum for a short time.

Shouldn't it be obvious right now that the GA loves the TF franchise? If the GA would hate it, then it wouldn't make a billion Dollars WW.

Only a 25% drop from last week for 22JS? That's very impressive. And HTTYD 2 shows at least some signs of legs. The other numbers are solid as well.

Best movies of 2014
.........
Worst movies of 2014
........
Do you mean we should rank those?

It might actually out gross every movie this year not named TF4 or Hobbit 3 OS.

I don't see why GOTG should make similar numbers to Cap 2
Me neither. It will probably have good legs, but I'm not seeing $200m domestic yet, much less $250m+.

$180m is locked, it's just going to be a question of how much more it can get.
Do you think $200m is still possible?

Now Hollywood is actually making a Dumbo Remake? Oh man, watch the E.T. Remake getting greenlight soon and... wait a minute, that already came out last weekend.

We had a troll Join the forum. He was hysterical
I found him rather annoying as hell.

22JS has been doing fantastic.
It could end up over $180m domestic, which is great for a comedy.

For anyone who didn't see it:
It wasn't that good of a post. Don't waste your time worrying about what you might have missed.
I won't ask you to PM me that post.

Decent numbers all around. TF4 seems to remain on track for $250m. And TFioS's behaviour on Mondays is really an anomaly.

Apes is only tracking at around 65M opening? That seems quite low. What was the tracking for CA: TWS or Godzilla or DOFP to compare this with something?
-
Is it like a sixth sense? Also, is he pro or anti-SW7? I ain't getting anywhere near that thread...
As far as I know, he tries his best to convince us that Harrison Ford's injury won't delay Ep. VII by any means. But he doesn't really make clear if he's pro or anti-SW7.

With that cinecandid freak entering our forum, I guess now everybody wants BKB back.

Blankments, you're amusing me way too much with your WTF reactions to cinecandid. That's probably because everybody in this thread felt the exact same way than you.
