Tf4 seems to hit 100M+ OW after all. I think this franchise really is the definition of critic-proof. The question now is whether it can top ROTF's 109M Friday-to-Sunday gross. -

Trans4rmers on track for 100M+? Well, sucks that a seemingly bad movie does it (I haven't seen it yet), but good for the box office that at least one film makes it over that mark.

So, we know that baumer didn't like TF4. That means if Michael Gary Scott also doesn't like it, then the apocalypse on the entire galaxy is on.

I'm actually a bit like baumer on Transformers. I think the first one is a legitimately good movie (not great though by any means) and enjoyed the second and third for the Action scenes. However, I am quite sick of the Bay-typical humor and the bad dialogue and the bad acting and so on. I won't be able to see TF4 until mid/late-July, so we'll see if I'll hate it as well.

Of course it always looked weak, but I think it's obvious that most of the few blockbuster candidates underperformed. I don't think many people expected TASM 2 to barely cross 200m.

Great news! Who would have ever thought that the day comes where an X-Men movie is the highest-grossing comic book movie of the year (I really don't think GOTG will break out that big). -
I think it's great that the coincidental case of Cap 2's 14th week falling in line with 4th of July. Let's just hope it crosses $260m with this and might even give TASM a run for its money.

I haven't read any comic books so I'm probably not the right guy to ask, but personally I would want to see the Red Skull return as well. It would also be nice if Hugo Weaving would reprise the role, but that's highly unlikely at this point. -
I know it was probably a hopeless wish, but I thought with the new cast it would at least be better than TF2 and TF3. But I think now it's clear that as long as Michael Bay is the director those movies will always be bad.

Also, LOL at the horrible TF4 reviews. I honestly expected a score close to 50% positive. Edit: Obviously bad reviews won't matter much for Trans4mers, but still...

Pretty good numbers all around. Will be interesting to see which movies are going to be hit hardest by TF4. Unfortunately, I think EoT will be one of those.

I think with all the negative talk about the summer box office we actually forget which is to me one of the biggest surprises of the year so far in Grand Budapest Hotel. Nearly 60M domestic and 150M+ worldwide for a Wes Anderson movie is astonishing IMO.
