Hey! So glad you loved the movie! It doesn't disappoint. I loved the honest emotion in it and I think it deals with better even than movies meant for an adult audience. I was surprised at how much they touched on it instead of glossing over it.

I'm certainly not claiming to be some kind of prophet. I looked at the evidence presented by other people and drew a conclusion. There are others who drew that conclusion as well - check Tele's club for evidence of that. There probably are a fair number of people jumping on now that it seems like a sure thing though

I will point out that a lot of people were saying that estimates were aiming way too high long before this point.

In what way is Gravity not sci-fi? You must have a very narrow definition of what sci-fi is.

I'm really wanting to see it, but my crew doesn't go for these kinds of films so I may get stuck waiting until it's on DVD.

I'm hoping the Deadline estimates are a bit on the low side, but I don't imagine they'd be more than 2-3 million off... which kind of sucks. I was hoping for a bigger weekend all around.

It had roughly the same budget as Interstellar. I'm not sure if you're citing this as a good or bad thing where the BO is concerned.

If that's the case, including Thurs numbers means it's not so bad, though I was hoping for higher numbers all around.

They probably won't have a Cinemascore up until tomorrow.

There's a lot more after that and 'cute' seems to be the operative word. A lot of people also said it made them feel good. Some people said they cried or felt emotional. I did find one tweet that said simply "Big Hero 6 was terrible" but no details.
