I was predicting Rylance to win, was going to put money on it but didn't think the 3/1 odds were really worth it, thought my money should go elsewhere. Anyway I'm pleased Rylance won, as he was not just the best in the category, but he hasn't had much of a film career, whereas Stallone has had a long, successful career and doesn't really need the recognition.
Rylance upset! Rylance upset! Rylance upset!
I didn't even think he was that great but just want an upset since everyone is going berserk over Stalloscar.
I disagree, I think the title refers to Gerda, not Lilli. The story is told from her perspective, it's really about her and the way that Lilli's change affects Gerda.
How so? She was terrific, but like many of the other actors, it was a very subtle performance. Her reaction in that scene is terrific acting, what's wrong with it?
