If my calculations are correct, Minions now holds the record for biggest audience ever in a 2 week period. Pity about the low ER and children's ticket prices not translating in higher USD numbers. Notice how out of the big 6 summer movies, TA2 had the lowest gross on its second week. It's already at US$37.5M in Mexico after just 2 weeks, and don't think it has much competition in the next weeks. However most sequels this year have been very front-loaded... US$46-48M (same as DM2) would be a good result since the ER is terrible.

Reached US$30M in Mexico, about the same as Rio 2. In US$, it's the highest grossing original animated movie ever, and Pixar's 3rd behind TS3 and MU.

Deadline Disney Pixar’s Inside Out has just crossed $500M worldwide in box office receipts on Tuesday, making it the eighth consecutive film to reach the milestone and the third Disney release to do so this year. Major markets still to come include the UK, opening this weekend, as well as Germany and Italy.

For some reason CANACINE hasn't uploaded the weekly numbers, but Rentrak tweeted that Ant Man was #1 on Friday, followed by Minions, Gallows, Inside Out and Terminator.

BoxOffice.com Minions is ruling the global box office in July (Domestic - $166.5M, Overseas - $346.4M). Total = 512.9M.
