brazil Brazil Box Office Thread
Gabriel Sales replied to Fullbuster's topic in International Box Office
Brazilian market collapse ??? Please correct this, do not make me ashamed! Just yesterday the title of this topic read: Maze Runner 2 overcomes first film by 98% in local currency. And today the market is already collapsing? Hard to understand! What happens is that the exchange rate is the worst in history, but people are still going to the movies, including a significant increase each year, based by the own Maze Runner, 98% is almost double. -

I've imagined! Unfortunately! I just want to alert the Chinese who have the opportunity to watch a great animated film, one of the best I've ever seen. -

The film is hardly a book adaptation, ie who have not read the book will understand and love the movie the same way as it is a fantastic film. Here in Brazil the book is well known, the film debuted in second place, but with a strong word of mouth took the lead in the next week to lead for 3 consecutive weeks. Argentina has left much film back this week for example, after five weeks of its premiere, the film is less fall in the top 10. In Poland it is already among the 10 most viewed films of the year, aiming The Avengers: Age of Ultron. According to specialized websites and awardscircuit.com indiewire.com the film is a favorite to an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature, provided it is released by the end of the year. -

Will debut only at the end of the year in the United States. Will debut first in China. Any chance the film doing well in China? On the site www.gewara.com the overwhelming majority is giving a score of 10 for the film. I watched here in Brazil, the film was very well produced, it's exciting and conveys a beautiful mesagem. Very much worth the watch feathers. -
I think of that to include France in the group of "good results" as I mentioned earlier in this same topic, actually the result obtained in France before the popularity of the book is disappointing. However, we can not consider 1.7 million admissions and $ 12 million a bad result, remember that even with this disappointing result The Little Prince surpassed Big Hero 6, The Lego Movie, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 1 and 2, Happy Feet , Home, among others. But the result is really disappointing in France before the great film The Little Prince is!

If this forum is really serious, it should be deleted immediately racial slur. Unfortunately there are still a human being equal to you contemptible in the world. -
Behold, my prediction is confirmed! The Little Prince is a real success in Brazil, the third week in the lead. Exceeded the number of admissions in France (country of origin of the film and where the book is considered sacred). In Argentina, the film dropped only 12% surpassing the 200,000 admissions mark approaching $ 2 million.

Gabriel Sales replied to Gabriel Sales's topic in China At The Box Office
Thank You! I have based my comparisons of The Little Prince with The Lego Movie, because budgets are similar. The Lego Movie has not had the opportunity to stay in theaters in China, do not know for what reason, The Little Prince will have this opportunity, just hope it goes well in China. -
The Little Prince kept the first place in Brazil surpassing the premieres and the powerful Tom Cruise with his Mission Impossible once again outperformed the trendy The Man from UNCLE Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer were in the country to promote the film, but to no avail. The most surprising was the drop of only 5% over the previous week. My projection for next week is the permanence of The Little Prince in the lead. I increased my revenue projection in Brazil, already envision $ 10 million at the end of your journey. The only certainty I have is that the film will surpass the numbers of admissions of France were it not for the terrible exchange rate also surpass the total gross $$$. Opened in the first place also in Central America, beating The Man from UNCLE. Argentina approaches the 200,000 admissions after three weeks, $ 2 million is possible. France lost momentum, came out of the Top 10. So who believes that the film is being successful? (taking into consideration that it is a French animation)

I believe that The Man from UNCLE should be out of contention for the lead, but among the top 5. I bet in a close race for first place between: Mission Impossible, Ted 2 and The Little Prince. -

Nice! Watched in Cannes? So jealous! I respect your opinion, just weird that you say that there are other, better movies The Little Prince in the dispute an alert, since you elected on your list Peanuts and Good Dinosaur, movies that have not even been shown yet. I watched the trailer for Peanuts, honestly? Did not attract me at all, I did not find funny may even surprise, but for now ... Since the trailer for Good Dinosaur really liked it. -

What is the reason that leads him to believe that Minions is more likely that The Little Prince? Have you ever watched The Little Prince? The film premiered August 20 in Brazil and I can assure you that is one of the best animations I've ever seen. It's the kind of film that really gives us life lessons, just exciting. Without mentioning that the film has parts made stop-motion, which the Academy loves. I think that The Little Prince is not one of those listed will be a great injustice. -

The movie/animation based on the book/work of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry already debuted and has been doing successfully in several countries, including: France, Brazil, Argentina and Poland. His debut in China is scheduled for October 16, I ask: Is there any possibility of this film doing well in China?
-
Against all odds ....! The Little Prince makes history in Brazil! It is the first non-American to lead the box office animation throughout the story, a fantastic achievement! There is a great possibility to lead next week as well. Despite the horrible exchange rate, I predict that the film will hit the end of his career a lot of animation at Disney, Dreamworks, Sony and Warner Bros. Animation In Argentina I expected more this weekend, still doing a decent number. In France, came in 6th place this weekend, go to your 6th week. According to the colleague PierreHP, the film has accumulated $ 10.1 million in France. Has accumulated more than $ 15 million in just seven countries, is slowly recovering from the budget (although the film has already been paid to sales to distributors). Would like to know of any American that the possibility of The Little Prince to more than $ 50 million in the US?
