Endgame is dropping Theaters harder than IW, as it facing more competition for screens than IW at this point.
IW had 3,570 theaters in the comparable weekend. What all this means is that, it very unlikely that it will match IW's 10m comparable weekend. There is still chance, but not that high.
I think both group of Avatar and Endgame are being picky with their analysis. I haven’t seen a single breakdown of what movie’s run is more impressive than the other that’s objective. None of you seem to consider all the pros and cons of both movies.
Also it helps that most of these properties they are bring back have performed so well in their original outing and were both critically and box office wise hits.
Yeah, I know there are many great ones, but I only see them if they are recommended to me by my friends who are also movie geeks. If they like it, I would probably end up liking it too. And they haven't had nice words about GB so far.
Wonder if Disney decided to distribute/release many more films than they usually do now a days. They already crushing the competition with their low releases compared to the other major studios. They have been of the top 6 major studies the studio with the lowest movies per year in this decade.
They also still got FF4 and XMEN to churn out. They will be swimming with money for the next 10 years and keep dominating the box office industry with all their subs.
