Isn't it quite obvious? Normally they will tweet and praise many shitty tom, dick and harry movies. Many times bollywood stars will go orgasmic even for mediocre movies but have mostly remain silent on Baahubali. Baahubali however actually shows the true potential in Indian market. It will gross north of $200m in all languages combined within India. A proper epic movie which includes both north and south stars could reach its full potential to become the first Indian movie to gross $300m within India. Rajamouli and Aamir khan collaborating rumors if turns out true then that could be the movie (Mahabharata ). -

Yes have heard about Rajni's movies fudge but can't comment as BOI or Taran don't report those numbers. But with Robot 2 this might change which is expected to be another huge blockbuster. Looks like many bollywood stars specially the khans are not very happy for Baahubali. As considered to be a regional movie have broken all kind of records in hindi belt and have relegated them back to no.2, 3 and 4 in rankings. -
Indeed...probably the biggest box office phenomenon since Gadar. And will go down in history with the likes of Sholay, HAHK, DDLJ etc as the most widely loved indian movie by the indians If you try bookmyshow even still the theaters are running with huge capacity inspite of piracy (some very good prints are already available online)

I wonder how big next Aamir's movie will be in China (Thugs of hindustan)...although they will remove/change hindustan for China release. -

Fudging rumors is there for all the big movies in India. "Dangal box office collections: Something wrong? Cinemas hardly full, yet Aamir Khan film’s earnings skyrocketing!" http://www.financialexpress.com/entertainment/dangal-box-office-collections-something-wrong-reports-indicate-cinemas-hardly-full-yet-aamir-khan-box-office-earnings-skyrocketing/489068/ and some more such articles. As mentioned these kind of articles/rumors are there for all big movie collections. But many such articles are just for attention seeking as they don't have even connection with trade analysts. If you check BOI and Taran (biggest trade analyst in india) you can see they are more/less in same range for most movies (may be 10-15crrs difference)...Except Rakesh Roshan's movies fudge (which are outrageous) while others hardly matters. -

Alien: Covenant | 5/19/2017 | Who needs mystery?
The Dark Rock replied to Neo's topic in Box Office Discussion
That is true actually. And Scott got interested in directing multiple Alien sequels again in between. Still would have been interesting to see Blomkamp's take rather than Scott's after Prometheus -

Instead of another mediocre movie Scott should have let Blomkamp's Alien movie happen. The concept art looked cool and Blomkamp(looking after his enthusiasm for the series and being fanboy) may have brought some new freshness and energy to the story rather than the same rehash again and again. -

The average rating keeps dropping. 6.4 now compared to 6.9 of Prometheus -

Looks like the reviews will be even poor than Prometheus. Things doesn't look too good and we are looking at another mediocre passable Alien movie once again. -

Indian movies have disastrous results in China until Aamir Khan's recent run (even srk/salman movies flops there). Baahubali was not that huge but outside Aamir's movie that was the only move with average success in China. -

Surprising how Aamir have such a huge fanbase in China now. Given that other Indian stars movies don't even earn 1/10th of what Aamir's movie earn there. -
Baahubali 1 was loved by hindi audience as well. It did around 120crrs from hindi version that time which was great result for a dubbed movie and kind of unexpected. But obviously no one expected this to challenge Dangal or 400crrs in Hindi. Probably around 200crrs was safer bet. Katappa cliffhanger definitely helped a lot but its also because 2nd part is as good if not better than the first fulfilling the high expectations which public had from the movie.

This is incredible and totally deserving. Finally a mainstream movie which is obliterating all box office records in history of indian cinema left, right and center and without having any superstars like khans or rajni's etc. So good to see this one deconstructing the awful star system which indian cinema have been caught with. The vfx, cgi and effects were better in 1st part. Although with less than 1/4th of budget compared to hollywood you cannot compare and complain. You have to appreciate the effort, grand scale and scope of the movie. The ending could have been better but still movie is better than 99% of indian cinema. The strength of the second part lies in the emotional connectivity. Have heard many people have been literally crying in theaters during some of the scenes. Well done Rajamouli and well deserved success.
