I never understood the focus on money. It's just a business gimmick to sell records.
Admissions tell the truth. Local currency, okay. But overseas numbers compared to $? It's worthless.

But here we go, should finish with $38m.

Just as a comparison how worthless these numbers are:

    Pirates 4 made $62,5m with 4.4m admissions.

So looking at LC its 36m € vs. 44m € instead of $38m vs. $62,5m.

this is to blame so many country didnt have the admission data tracking

    Thank you very much :)

This chart shows how much is increasing the market. Every film, excepting TA, are from 2015-2016 period. For example, in China happens exactly the same. Among the current top 10 in local currency, there is just one film previous to 2015.

that make me thinking like, am i looking at the yearly top movie or all time..........

when i clicked in the data, mostly are from 2015/2016

BOM already mixed Titanic 3D to Titanic 1997.

Titanic 97 grossed $1.6B WW but you can see it's $2.1B now, meaning they added Titanic 3D numbers. My numbers seem to be the good ones, that's why I added "+Titanic 3D"

no, they did not, the $70.5m is solely for '97 run while 3D version BOM put it under titanic 3D

BOM only added both run in the sum for foreign total figure, but for respective country, they still separate the figure for different run.

Like China,$44m was just from titanic original run while 145m was from 3D run, total up to $189m

Box Office Brazil Top All-Time in US Dollars

    Titanic  (+Titanic 3D) : 70.5m
    The Avengers : 63.9m
    Tropa de Elite 2 : 62.9m
    Avatar : 58m
    Twilight BD2 : 54.2m
    Iron Man 3 : 47.9m

The Avengers Age of Ultron : 47.85m

    Furious 7 : 46.6m
    Ice Age 3 : 45.4m

    Ice Age 4 : 44.5m

Captain America Civil War : 40.5m
    Shrek 4 : 40m

    Batman vs Superman : 37.6m

    Minions : 37.5m

    Suicide Squad : 36.6m
    Harry Potter DH2 : 35.7m

    Despicable Me 2 : 35.5m

    Finding Dory : 34.5m

    Rio : 33.6m

    Maleficent : 33.2m

    I turned it into a top 20 :)

titanic 1997 was 70.5 m while 2012 3d version earned another 5.1m, i suppose the combined figure would be $75.6m instead of 70.5m

For once, inside.kino released a week trend (Monday-Sunday)

Rogue One - A Star Wars Story (1.040T), Vaiana (485T), Sing (425T), Vier gegen die Bank (285T), Assassin's Creed (220T), FB (205T), Willkommen bei den Hartmanns (175T),  Allied - Vertraute Fremde (105T), Office Christmas Party (70T), Nocturnal Animals(65T), Pettersson & Findus - Das schönste Weihnachten überhaupt (55T), Die Vampirschwestern 3 - Reise nach Transsilvanien (50T).

    Is viana moana?

  6. I dont understand why hollywood keep releasing so many movies in a year, 720 films per BOM in 2016, and this figure only reached 521 in 2009.

The rise of output never correspond to the growth of admission, the admission has been flat for a decade, meaning market cannot accommodate that much of movies, maybe some1 would say foreign expansion, but each country has their own local production as well!

Look at the summer 2017 schedule, it's packed as hell....and would a be stampede between films!

  7. I think Epi 8 may change plot to put general leia "disappear" in the wake of CF died.....terrible loss for SW community, with han solo(character) and Carrie Fisher both end up finishing in sequel trilogy, not to mention luke skywalker may also dead in sequel to reflect the death of yoda in original, so sequel trilogy may end up no lead character from OT in the end of the celebration of epi 9
