  1. I'm not digging the direction. Very uneven for me, when the co-stars interact it's great but the rest.... bleh I like what they're trying to do but I'm not sure I'm on board with it.
  2. behind the scenes reveal that the ending was modified because of COVID, so at least there's that for those who are mad. They couldn't film lots of scenes they had envisioned. It's clunky, even as someone who really liked the series.
  3. In a scenario of mass vaccination even 3 weeks can have a huge impact. Entirely possible that they delay this movie just a few weeks to have a much higher vaccination rate, and thus, opening rate throughout the country. In Canada though... I don't think people under 40 are gonna be vaccinated come May.
  4. From what I can see this show is quite polarizing. Many people love it many people think it's a good addition to the MCU but that's it many people dislike it (like, more than usual, not just a "MCU = bleh" but more like "guys this is terrible wtf?") But mainly having a story, ANY story centering on Wanda is a dream come true for me so there was no way in hell I'd dislike this, ultimately, unless it was absolutely terrible. And since she has great character development throughout the series, and is a layered and complex character, I am definitely satisfied.
  5. heads up but they have posted the new Marvel Legends episodes on Disney+ and they cover Falcon in episode 3 and TWS in episode 4

  7. There's something that's just not quite right with this show and I can't put my finger on it precisely. The finale just accentuated it. But it's not necessarily negative. It's like there's something contradictory about this show as it pertains to what it wants to be. The first half wants to be something, the 2nd half wants to be something else and there's an intangible conflict there. Regardless, I wasn't a big fan of the finale but the other 8 episodes were GREAT so overall, I enjoyed this show. Strong outing from Marvel. Flawed, but at least it's trying to be something. I think WANDAVISION's biggest strength though is making Wanda Maximoff one of the most interesting and complex characters in the MCU. And for that, I raise my glass to this show because that's not an easy thing to do and it's what I wanted in the end.
  8. One flashback/exposition too many here but man is Wanda a great character now... I expect a huge shift in MCU character popularity polls after this. Exactly by how much depends on the finale though.
  9. 7 episodes of setup, basically. Audacious. I like it, but it really depends if it pays off well/sticks the landing or not
  10. I think some people have lost what bloat really means. Nothing is superfluous in Wandavision, yes, even those sitcom scenes that maybe you don't care about. Every single one of those scenes serves to tell you something about the characters, the world they're in, their past, or something of the sort about the events unfolding. A far cry from typical TV shows runtime bloating. Now is it boring? For some, yes, and that's fine. But to say this is all meaningless and pointless overstuffing is being obtuse. Might mean nothing to those people but certainly not for everyone.
