So if a movie had good or bad WOM, Friday's and Saturdays are the most noticeable? Did not know that. Thanks. Based on a movie's WOM, be it good or bad, when does it normally first show up in the numbers? The second Friday or earlier? -
I was using that movie at first, but BvS did worse than it. My prediction ended up too high. I then switched to MvS, but that took me in the other direction and I was predicting too low. When I get off work, I might run both numbers and split the difference. Might work out.

I would like to add that I do realize that Facebook is a horrible sample. People tend to be friends with people with the same interests and views. Some have referred to the phenomenon as a echo chamber. It wouldn't shock me to hear that someone that likes it is seeing nothing but positive things. I just thought it was weird that I saw nothing till last night.

My Facebook is blowing up with how bad everyone thought the movie was. Haven't seen one person with a positive thing to say. WOM seems to be kicking in. Strange since there were no comments either way till last night.

I said that a week ago. My 40 million second weekend doesn't seem so crazy now. I know it still is a little. I said 40-66 was a certainty, I think it's now 40-55.

How is that trolling? I read some statistics and was sharing them with you. Even if it does make 27.8 million, it's still not enough to beat BvS which should make somewhere around 40-66 million.

If GND2 retains it's $12K per theater sales as the OW of the first one, it will make 27.8 million with the 2318 theaters it's releasing at.

I like to think of them more as peasants, but they're really the same thing. Especially since I have three of these monitors. HAHA! Glad I never heard of it! Sound's like I would be seething with anger by the end of it. Kind of like watching 2 minutes of Fox News.

Yes, it was more tongue in cheek than anything. Re-reading my post, I see I could have made it more obvious. I was curious to hear the opinions on God's Not Dead as well. Never heard of it, but that usually says a lot about the quality and odds of it doing well right there. I don't watch those kinds of movies or hang out with people that do, so it could have easily flown under my radar.

Do I expect it, no. Ruling it out, no. Do I deep down wish it does? yes, lol. I know nothing about the first one. Was it good? Did it have good WOM and made a big following? The fact that it released with 780 theaters and was eventually bumped up to 1860 in week 4 and the fact this looks like it's releasing at 2300+ says something.

I'm not ruling out God's Not Dead 2 winning this weekend. Much bigger release than the first one it looks like, 780 vs 2300+. Not my type of movie, so I know nothing about it. Meet the Blacks is huge a long shot, but people may need a comedy to get them out of the depression that BvS gave them. I would be shocked if Hardcore Henry (actually really interested in seeing this, just for it's uniqueness) or The Boss doesn't take 1st place.

The Lego Movie was hilarious. SPACESHIP!!! If this movie is as good as that one, it will make bank. We just need a Where Are My Pants movie next.
