LOL if this movie flops everyone will be screaming about how Kevin Feige ruined Deadpool. No one will blame Ryan whether it's his fault or not.

I agree. This is also the first Deadpool movie under MCU's / Disney's reign. It's also the first R rated MCU movie. It has a ton of things riding for it and even against it. If it flops or makes less than the previous movies, then things will be very dark for next months at MCU's headquarters.

Deadpool 1 and 2 made almost 800 million worldwide. This new one is obviously much more expensive than the previous ones. Anything under 700 million worldwide is gonna be disaster territory. This one has Wolverine in it and a lot of characters.

I still can't believe Disney allowed Deadpool to be R rated. I'll believe it when I see it. Somehow I have bad feelings about behind the scenes issues that eventually will get revealed after the movie's release. I really hope Disney / MCU allowed Ryan Reynolds to do the things he wanted to do with the character, without trying to force things to be "cut" or deleted. This thing needs to be hardcore.

  2. Oh, don't worry, folks. I'm pretty sure this movie is gonna be fun, right? Fun. We'll be hearing this word for a while. Pretty sure we'll be having fun while we see countless articles about how it's one of the biggest flops this year. :)

Anyway, I'm actually curious about this movie. The visuals and effects at least look cool and nice. Hopefully the fight scenes are also cool.

Wait are they killing a baby in this? Because that would be a very easy way to get a D CinemaScore lol

That won't happen . Killing a baby in a pg-13 comic book movie released during Christmas is a big NO.

Most reasonable plot is Aquaman's dad getting offed ( perhaps his mother ) and the kid gets kidnapped so that would be a bait to call Aquaman's attention.

  4. MCU officially ended with Endgame.

Everything else could be or should be considered a "what if scenario", imo.

Spider Man No Way Home basically had nostalgia to boost its performance. Most of general audiences were excited to see Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire back, characters from Sony movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was basically the end for the characters that were introduced in GOTG 1. It's almost its own thing, split from MCU.

Wakanda Forever had people curious about who would be the new Black Panther.

I really don't care about anything else. I'm somehow more curious to watch freaking Madame Web, Kraven and even Venom 3, rather than anything MCU related.

Well, the rule is simple. People vote with their wallets. If people aren't interested in a movie, then they shouldn't be watching that movie. So, they have to save their damn hard earned money and spend it in something they feel it deserves a penny.

Now, if people aren't interested in a movie because they think MCU should do better movies, then it's very necessary NOT giving money to a movie they feel it doesn't deserve it. As a consequence, we should celebrate the failure, because a flop / failure will probably be a warning to the studio, so better movies will be released instead of mediocre ones.

I don't know what's the problem with celebrating a flop. I'm glad as hell that Fant4stic flopped. I mean, if people had given money to that crap, we would be getting Fant4stic 2 and so on. So, I'm glad it flopped because crappy movies like that doesn't deserve money. It's ironic that Fant4stic still made 111 million overseas, 8 years ago. The Marvels isn't getting that, which is hilarious.

Black Adam was a flop with so-so word of mouth. Stop this lie that it was a hit and that we need to apologize to the Rock. It's not our fault that Black Adam had a bloated budget. It's the Rock's fault.

Yeah, Black Adam was definitely a flop, but the numbers alone weren't bad for a D- character. Like you said, the main problem was the movie's insanely high budget and The Rock's ego.

The movie also didn't have a China release, so it would probably have made more than 400 million worldwide ( perhaps almost 500 million ), which unfortunately didn't happen.

While it was a flop, it had a better CinemaScore than The Marvels and the action scenes were impressive. The Rock's ego really damaged the performance. A reasonable budget of 120/130 million would have been so much better and maybe, just maybe we would have a new hierarchy! lol
