  1. Can I ask you an honest question? Do you believe the shit that you write or are you just trolling?
  2. No, that's the blonde played by Anya Joy. She's Colossus' sister and a powerful magician, on par with Dr Strange
  3. The Joker movie is certainly interesting. The protagonist is an "angry white male" and the antagonist is a Trump caricature. The media will be very confused on how to spin their agendas with this.
  4. The real question is who would win the battle between the thugs that beat up and robbed Darkseid and the cops who arrested Thanos.
  5. Don't believe that is the point here, the discussion is whether characters that have been panned by the fandoms were panned because they are weak characters or because of the character's gender/sexuality etc. My view is that it's a combination of both, however applying the latter on anyone who didn't like said characters is egregious and way over-used.
  6. You are making assumptions here, only to serve your argument. If you got something solid, happy to discuss.
  7. Sure, it would be legit if it was not projected. If it is angst over female leads why is this not the case over Beatrix Kiddo/Sarah Connor/Ripley/Furiosa/Leia/BW et cetera? The point is always invoked/projected when the person defending the movie has 0 arguments and decides to attack the character of the person they disagree with.
  8. That's my question exactly. In this forum people tend to discuss the movies on their merits, and unless someone identifies himself as alt-right, or outright admits he did not like a movie for political reasons, I don't see why the alt-right point is being brought into the discussion. On top of that, the term sounds hollow and jaded since it's being used in such frequency.
  9. In what way is it considered common sense to deflect from a specific point and instead project political views in order to dismiss said point? If that's considered common sense in the states, then no wonder why it's such a dumpster fire.
  10. But what qualifies the alt right troll angle as a fact? Rationalization on the part of people who did like the movie is a bit skewed source of statistics.
  11. That was damage control after people pointed out how disrespectful it was of her to claim she does her own stunts in that interview. Typical PR stunt.
  12. You can't make this comparison, because 3d is not a novelty in 2019. If it was, then maybe you'd been right.
  13. Disney does not abuse it's power , they're not nearly at it as much as news media, oil corps, pharmas and consumerable corps. I think it's silly to be wary of the mouse, when half the big corps on the mentioned industries have politicians and media in their pockets
  14. For the record, I don't think people here dislike Cameron. It's the avatar fans that most people can't stand
  15. They actually did it without using the most popular comic book property ever. But if it helps you cope...
  16. Yes, but the titanic poster was posted by JC himself. The Avatar one was posted by the avatar account.
