I think Gambit might focus on the "casino" genre.
If they don't get De Niro to narrate it, I'm out.

Sorry, but opinions like this is why a monster like Weinstein was able to get away with this so long. The light of day is the only way to stop this kind of abuse.
Demonizing everyone and everything does NOT work. Public jurys don't work and they don't help.
There's one thing you need to understand. Bigots, sexists, racists and zealots exist everywhere, and it all boils down to being undeducated and/or an idiot.
No self-respecting person can every treat someone else awfully like this. So, education and upbringing is the key.
You see, there's so much wrong in the world, but there's also so much good that we just ignore. And we all focus on the bad.
I will admit that I have not been oppressed in my life and I never faced the racism that my father faced (a black man that lived in Greece during the heights of the greek dictatorship). My opinion may not matter, but his does, and his two cents were that no matter how hard we fight and protest, we'll never achieve nothing, because at the end of the day we're not unified. We just divide and demonise each other, why do we expect things to get better?
Sorry to get too political here, friendly always.

Thought it was a joke until I did it. Wow. He apologized and they mention it (eventually) in the article...but that doesn't help the headline that most people only see.
Once the media smells blood they can go into witchhunt mode. WB will have to navigate this.
This. I think the media are handling this thing wrong, with the kind of exposure they give to these situations. Like Burr said, you can't look at a kid and make a funny face anymore, people will think you're a sex offender or something.

Zack Snyder is an influential director, He will be on cinema's history books whether you like Him or not. I had to google Rian Johnson to remember which movies he's made.
Johnson directed the first episode of Terriers, which by itself is a higher achievement than anything Snyder has done or will do.

WTF are you babbling about if you want Man ofMurder see Donners Superman 2. Where he KILLS Zod turned HUMAN with a smile. WTF were you then crying Man of Murder. MoS Supes did it with huge remorse and to protect a human family from dying. You have double standard coming out of your ears!
Man, work on your reading comprehension and then come back and try to have a conversation.

Up until 2013 and Man of Steel it was just banter.
Then, the man of murder thing came out and it turned into a shitstorm. -
I'm just wondering if some of the rt reviewers are trying to give a legit review or if they're just competing for the snarkiest comment on the month

That's cool. Cinemas in the UK are marketing it as a family movie, but unfortunately I don't see much push from anywhere else.

I can't see how it's an excellent number for Spidey. I would call it "good" but not excellent. Lots of frontloading going on here. I don't think previous Spider-Man movies had too much impact, audiences are well aware that this is a fresh start within the MCU. Sometimes we don't give casuals enough credit, these movies are made FOR casuals. They know this is an MCU film.
Spider-Man is at the worst the 2nd most popular superhero. You can argue against Batman but nobody else. This was also very well received by critics. Yes, people will bring up the Batman Begins comparison but this is a different time for box office. We live in an age where Suicide Squad opens to $133M. We live in times where GOTG have become monsters at the box office. The first opened to a little under $100M. The 2nd opened to the tune of $146M.
Now, all that said I think this should have very good legs but in the end I see a scenario where there is some money left on the table and I'm not sure why. Something (at least by the OW numbers) did not quite connect as well as it could have.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people who disagree. I'm not going to say outright disappointing but not excellent either.
i disagree on the principal that you called a movie frontloaded without even seeing the first monday numbers.

They made a terrible movie because they both wanted to make two different movies and just ended up screwing with one another
No, they made a terrible movie because FOX only cared about keeping the rights and Trank only cared about doing drugs.
Btw, is there a suggestion topic for the forum? I literally have logged myself off a hundred times while trying to press the notification button when I browse from my phone. Can the log of button be moved?

Ambitious mess> generic slog with no heart
Isn't "ambitious" a word we just use for terrible movies in order to not upset their fans?

Rank the users with the best cinema taste
1. The Panda
2. Telemachos
3. CoolioD1
4. Jake Gittes
5. Baumer
I bet that would give me approximately 5 likes

Soon enough we'll start ranking users based on their rankings

How many different trailers are there for Dunkirk by the way? I swear to god I've seen like 4 different ones so far in cinemas.
@Telemachos, completely irrelevant, but I only now noticed that your full name is Telemachos. That's my dog's name (my Greek stepdad named him after a character from Odyssey)

Meanwhile at WB headquarters:
"Spider-man got better reviews than WW?"
"We need to double down on what made WW successful"
"I have an idea"

Just wanna say Marrvel movies made a mistake not giving the love interest in their movies, a more substantial role. WW proved that people wanna see the love story too, not just the good guys fighting the big baddie at the end.
That's why WW is an atypical cbm. it connected to women on a massive level because of the love story.
TFA did it and it did it better than WW. Thor 1/2 did it and did it worse than Gigli.

Marvel fans are so quiet since the beginning of the month...
See, DCEU finally has a good movie and we don't wanna ruin it for their fans. Contrary to others who constantly cry and moan because people did not like their favourite "misunderstood masterpiece".

As a DC and Marvel fan what I love about WW's success is I feel like Marvel has actual competition now and they have to compete with each other, not only for BO now but greatness, which in turn should cause both studios to raise the bar and push their limits.
That's exactly what Feige said about BvS failing. He wasn't happy as a comic book fan, but he also emphasized that Marvel needs a strong DC.

How is WW doing Internationally? It's really strong here in the UK, but I don't get the same feel from the rest of Europe.
-
96% for WW!
Well that's interesting. Looks like Jenkins did it, although I'm having a hard time buying the raves about Gadot's charismatic performance.
Even more interesting: Will dceu fans now admit that RT is right and that the rest of the DCEU is shit?
