Well I had a friend who fell asleep during the opening five minutes of Revenge of the Sith, and she was snoring like a fucking bear, had to wake her up before the fanboys beat her up. Only time I remeber falling asleep was during a screening of The Class (such a bore) and in one of Antonioni's movies at a retrospective dedicated to him, don't get me wrong I love Antonioni, he's one of my favorite directors, but knowing his pacing I shouldn't have gone watching one of his films without having any sleep the night before.

I'm pretty sure estimates will come up in a 2nd update, that said if ti manages to crack 95-100 million OW that would be a victory for the film itself. Historically female centric films aren't that much of a big draw, not even blockbusters, that said this could have GOTG1 legs and make it to 300 million which would be great for a female lead blockbuster. I think this would play more like a date film either romantic of friends date, so maybe attendance will be up in late showings, just a guess. HG and Twilight are the exceptions but those two sagas were released at the peak of their literary sagas and awareness was up to the sky.

As a gay man I'll admit that WW has a lot of appeal towards the LGBT community in general, but that doesn't mean every single gay person loves it per se. A lot of my gay friends have no interest whatsoever in watching this film, while I honestly am very excited to see it. LGBT people have very differente tastes, the only thing that relates us is that we are not straight and the ostracism we've been subjected to, that is all, some gays are flamboyant, some are masculine, some are sports lovers, some are married with children and closeted. I bet some people would be surprised that I love films like Crank:High Voltage while still getting excited about WW.

can we add the cornetto trilogy?

I'm just glad the whole this will beat Age of Ultron, 300 billion WW boxoffice madness for CW is over. I'll stand by my final gross between 420 and 435

If this makes a mid 70's second weekend which is quite likely, it will still lag about 15 to 17 million behind Ultron. I think this will ultimately gross anything between 420 and 435 for a very similar IM3 final WW box office

Seriously people encouraging users to use their cellphone during screenings is not ok. Just as distracting and annoying as people who talk during movies. Why even go to the movies in the first place if you're only going to half watch it?
