  1. Brad Bird has made a superhero movie no other MCU movie has been able to reach the quality off. But yeah I don’t think he’ll do it because of the other projects he has got going (ex. Ray Gunn).
  2. Ant Man stealing shit. That’s it oh and Ultron cause Iron Man to retire or something ion know.
  3. I’ll go off me Letterboxd: 5/5 - Black Panther 4.5/5 - Guardians Volume 2, Ragnarok, Guardians Volume 1 4/5 - Iron Man 3, Shang-Chi, The First Avenger, Iron Man, The Avengers, Ant Man and The Wasp, The Winter Soldier, Infinity War 3.5/5 - No Way Home, Eternals, Endgame, WandaVision, Strange, Hawkeye, Ant Man 3/5 - Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Loki, Homecoming, Ultron 2.5/5 - Iron Man 2, Civil War, What If..?, Hulk 2/5 - Thor, FaTWS, Far From Home 1.5/5 - The Dark World Likely won’t watch Moon Knight, the Disney plus shows hasn’t been great and I’ve got other shows to watch. I’ll check out Ms. Marvel but I have no further interest in the plus shows.
  4. Curious on the type of drop The Bad Guys has. Will it be enough for double digits?
  5. Ehhhh. Thanos is like the third best MCU villain. Killmonger and DaFoe Goblin are superior imho.
  6. Yeah with luck we could have 6 300m+ grosser this summer if everything goes right (Minions breaking out, as well as Lightyear and Top Gun but those two are a bit more assured). Even later summer has a lot of things that could be leggy hits. If WOM is great for Nope, I can easily see an old school run where it like opens to 50m and legs it to 200m. Both Bullet Train and Super-Pets could do in the 150m range too. Iffy on Lightyear though. Can see a possibility where it turns out to be a surprise underperformer.
  7. Nah if F4 is 2024, his next movie IF is Thanksgiving 2023, it’s too quick of a turnaround. I think it’s likely Reed as F4 is his dream movie and gets a quicker turnaround.
  8. Tbh I’m picking and choosing at this point with the tv shows. I got other shows to watch/follow, I likely watch Ms Marvel and maybe some episodes of She Hulk but I haven’t watched Moon Knight yet.
  9. I missed the TV shows discussion. None have gone over a 3.5/5 for me. WandaVision is the best of the bunch but the ending really soured me from loving it. Hawkeye is also a 3.5/5, as I had fun with it but the pacing pattern of the show were it feels less like a show and more like a six hour movie kind of persists. Loki was a 3/5, as while they were some cool elements, I found a lot of the rules of the world convoluted and Loki’s character arc unsatisfying. What If is then a 2.5/5 as the whole thing of the show is a mixed bag of good and boring episodes and then a bad ending. FaTWS is a 2/5 as from apart of some great scenes with the Bradley’s not much is done to utilize the ramifications of a black Captain America (kind of like how the themes done in the Russo Cap movies), in addition to muddled pacing, poor creative choices and exposition galore (also Us Agent should not have been redeemed, he should’ve been the villain and an alt-right tool as in the comics.)
  10. Ehhhh. I think in my ranking both TWS and IW are outside my top 10 MCU and those are the Russos’ best ones. The Russos do their job well for what it is but none within my top ten.
  11. Tbh while I don’t think it’ll negate audience WOM perse, a concern of mine in that making every movie a larger than life Avengers scale event that critical reception would become a bit more mixed as more characters start to be included, many like from the Disney+ shows which again may make the films a bit more (again no idea until this weekend) harder to follow for non fans and a similar clock before doomsday (granted a lot of superhero movies in general are like that but still), it kind of makes none of them an event (critically so to speak).
  12. First three seasons, solid fire but hasn’t been able to keep the momentum with me after Season 4 sadly.
  13. Domestically. OS it’s plausible but I can see L&T outdo it. I think this one despite the empty market will be a bit more frontloaded similar to CACW/IM3. 9/8 AM EST/CST
  14. It’s premature but I do feel somewhat vindicated in predicting that this would likely be the lowest grossing of the three MCU movies this year.
  15. 70-80% seems like the right RT range for this. Though script is a problem popping up and somethings being divisive, it seems fun enough to avoid rotten but not enough to rise above 80. However, really interested in what God Raimi does with this one.
  16. Don’t worry, I’m sure we won’t see stans being hostile towards critics, trolling from the other side and more, we are perfectly capable of… Nope can’t say it with a straight face.
