It don’t matter opening size iirc when there’s contracts at play. It could be like NWH/Matrix where Marvels gets PLFs/Dolby and Oppenheimer keeps IMAX (only having to share for Marvels’ opening week).
Hell the MCU has done period pieces before, like Captain America and Captain Marvel, have the 60s set movie and like the end of the third act has them stuck in the Quantum Realm. The fuckery in Quantumania releases them into the modern world just before the credits roll.
Do the Peyton Reed period piece one. Ant Man and The Wasp is top ten MCU for me and he’s been dying to do. Besides it’s clear it won’t be a 2023 release.
From my house, it’s a fifteen to twenty minute drive between three theaters, where are two Marcus and an IMAX/AMC at a mall. It’s not so much the drive but I really dislike going to the AMC there due to the pricing, and quality of the theater.
Like I fully expect Panther to get a pushback too, but aren’t saying something due to cinemacon crowd. Something like idk Panther and MCU delay in a few weeks and World details of Plus for D23.
Yes yes Chalamet singing and dancing are great reasons to be excited as well as the potential Oedipus complex with Sally Hawkins but I’m most interested if Keegan gets to sing a banger like in Jingle Jangle.
The screening is one hour and forty five minutes going with gut and saying it’s a Lightyear screening and a few minutes of Avatwo as I think they’ll want the stuff for 2023 onward for their D23 screening. Also it happened with Inside Out iirc.
