Ah but yeah, Disney’s MD curse, Avengers 4 might suck the air of everything and a jam packed summer, and the possibility of it not being appealing to audiences, things won’t fair well for it.
The audience roars (no pun intended) with applause. Xavier Irving thanks everyone from coming out tonight and hopefully years to come and holds a party for them.
A bit to high for CR, meethinks. It will do well here, UK and Japan but I’m curious about the others.
HT3 seems low too.
Also curious, what would the numbers look like for Solo?
Solo might not be in the top 5 WW for the summer. Probably barely make the top 10.
IW: $2B
JWFK: $1.4B
TI2: $1.05B
DP2: $770M
AMATW: $750M
MIF: $670M
HT3: $600M
Skyscraper: $580M
MM2: $575M
Solo: $560M
Kenny Ortega takes the stage to talk about HSM4: Reunion. He reveals he’s directing the project. He says he was inspired after remembering a high school reunion. The sequel takes place ten years after the original and the main six are struggling with both real life and the upcoming reunion. Ortega reveals one of them being Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel) struggles with his sexuality. He shows a clip on Ryan singing his trouble, titled “What am I?”. He also confirms some of the older songs will return.
David Lowry then takes the stage to talk about Brother Bear. Lowry says Brother Bear is a coming of age story for both Kenai and Koda. Lowry says the tone of Brother Bear is more similar to The Jungle Book from Disney with bits of levity. He shows a clip of the movie where Koda teaches Kenai how to fish which he humorously struggles. The audience is impressed due to how realistic it looks. Lowry then says Brother Bear is more expensive than Stitch or Planet at a $170M budget.
If there’s something to learn from this, hopefully Disney won’t do a Star Wars movie every year anymore and Memorial Day doesn’t work for them (Aladdin is next, thinking possibly sub $300M).
IF Red Ribbon goes well I have an idea on what to do next:
King Piccolo then World Tournament and then Saiyan saga.
However Red Ribbon does not set up a sequel. But I wrote the funniest mid credit scene I’ve done in game.
