Just having Suicide Squad beat Man of Steel is rather epic to be honest.
Not necessarily considering that ticket prices are more expensive today than they were when MOS was released.

Nothing less than 700ww at this point.
Sounds very very good. It'd be nice if it could catch up to Deadpool, but it won't.

I guess when your on a cell like me things are choppy with this site.
Your first reply doesn't contain a response and was the only one that was there initially.

Now that SS has earned 635M WW, what are the current projections for its final WW gross?

Would you be so kind as to provide us with Friday's numbers, please?

I understand people that think this, just like I understand people that say that The Winter Soldier is better. To me, The Avengers is the MCU equivalent of Star Wars, Civil War and The Winter Soldier are both like The Empire Strikes Back and Age of Ultron is... Revenge of the Sith. My MCU ranking so far:
1. Captain America: Civil War
2. The Avengers
3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
4. Iron Man
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
6. Captain America: The First Avenger
7. Iron Man 3
8. Ant-Man
9. Thor
10. The Avengers: Age of Ultron
11. Thor: The Dark World
12. Iron Man 2
13. The Incredible Hulk
Star Wars, for comparison:
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. The Force Awakens
3. A New Hope
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Revenge of the Sith
6. The Phantom Menace
7. Attack of the Clones
TWS and CW are great but don't match up to TA because they don't have that charm of being the first film to feature the Avengers in live action and because they require viewers to have seen their predecessors to understand them (TA is fully appreciable even without its preceeding stand-alone films).

I thought you didn't see CW? (Unless you pirated it)
I fixed my post; I meant to write The Winter Soldier; the context of my post, namely my assertion that it's not fantastical, proves that I meant TWS, since CW is indeed fantastical because it includes Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, etc.
There's also my mention of TWS in the first paragraph.

I love Winter Soldier, but I crave for the day that the DCEU will be able to come up with something as crazy as Captain America: Civil War was. It's the conclusion of a string of stories throughout several films and it works in every possible level to me. I love The Winter Soldier, but I see Civil War as something that will be celebrated even more than The Avengers or The Winter Soldier as the years go by.
I agree that Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a great film, but I consider The Avengers (2012) to be the best film in the MCU so far.
It's a classic and is superior to TWS because it's a full fledged comic-book movie; it features out-of-this-world characters, such as the Hulk and Loki, and fantastical elements, such as the Tesseract. On the other hand, The Winter Soldier could pass for a typical, albeit well-made, political and action thriller with a few sci-fi elements due to its grounded cast of characters and its grounded plot points; there's nothing fantastical or particularly comic-bookish about it.

I'm happy that SS is doing decently, even though it's a merely okay movie; the actors and director put a lot of effort into it and deserve to be rewarded with an opportunity to create a sequel. Its mediocrity is due to WB's interference, so I don't think that the actual talent behind it shouldn't be given another chance to strut their stuff.

Nice hold for SS, matching Bourne Ultimatum. This pace is good enough for 320m.
320M is a bold projection given that everyone else has projected it to earn 305M-310M.

Has there ever been a film that's made more in its second or later weekend than in its opening weekend?

Overseas grosses haven't been updated since last Sunday. Perhaps we'll get some numbers soon.
Greece ( movie gets released today there ) and Japan ( September 10th ) are the final markets.
What do you think its current WW gross is?
-
What is SS' current WW total? Also, when does it open it Japan and whatever other markets are left for it?

Great potential news for Suicide Squad. Fantastic estimates, which I hope hold.
