  1. truly the GOAT, and let's not forget A.I. was the year before the Minority Report/Catch Me If You Can double release. EDIT: West Side Story was delayed a year but it's still insane to see that have its first screening in November 2021 and then The Fabelmans shows up at TIFF in September 2022.
  2. Thought this was a delightfully entertaining and singular piece of work. There are two crucial characters that fall flat and a stretch in the second act that threaten to cut the film's achievements short, but it picks itself back up and succeeds in just about everything else it's trying to do. Really fun time at the movies.
  3. I agree with a lot of this, but also a lot with what Christy said in her own video.
  4. I know a red score that low has more impact on MC than just a regular average, once that was posted is when it instantly dropped nearly 10 points - albeit ofc with less reviews than now. But yeah fucking New York Post lmfao, no idea why MC even has them included.
  5. Definitely set for a sound win right now (Sound Editing if they still had both categories), and it will challenge in numerous other categories.
  6. Definitely better but I'm still sure some moments will be unintelligible for people. The music almost never stops and sometimes it gets really loud as the tension amps up. Some moments basically function as jump scares, which might kill all remaining elderly people in the world. But I've never had a trouble with how loud his movies get (maybe my ears don't work right) so I enjoyed the use of sound in this immensely. Particularly any kind of subjective perspectives on the actual sound design.
