  1. Power Rangers March 26, 3:30 PM, 30% full AMC Starplex Loudoun 11, VA Trailers Leap (No reactions) Cars 3 (first teaser, chatter) Transformers: The Last Knight (kids seemed to enjoy this trailer) Despicable Me 3 (laughs, chatter) Spiderman: Homecoming (chatter) Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (no reaction besides me cringing) King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (no reaction) Not much reaction throughout, just a couple of laughs, and that's all I recall. I think a parent and her kid left early because it got inappropriate or something.
  2. The reviews are so far mediocre, but it's not fant4stic level poor

Lots of huge laughs throughout, and some jumps. I saw someone cover their eyes in disgust on one particular scene.
  4. Oh will you look at that? Friday's gross is nearly my prediction for opening weekend for BATB eheheheh- I'm a pro.
  5. My favorite movie so far in the X-Men franchise. From the first frame, it's clear that this isn't your typical comic book movie. Despite its R rating, it stays away from the dry, raunchy humor that made "Deadpool" stand out. Hugh Jackmans performance is so powerful. He plays a much different character in this film. He is weary, and flawed in many different ways, but the film is not trying to make you hate him. You can see why he gets pissed off all the time because he has been through so much over the past hundreds of years. He's definitely not likeable, but we are still rooting for him. That's what makes him not seem like your typical "comic book" character. That's what makes us invested. The supporting cast, (particularly Patrick Stewart as Professer X, and Dafne Keen as Laura) are excellent as well. There is so much thought and realism put into the world of this film, as its setting is near the Mexico border in 2029 mixed with the tone creates a harsh reality, and critique on our society. Unfortunately I do have a few criticisms with Logan. While the action scenes are very well shot, bloody, and visceral, they do start to get repetitive by the end of the film. Each action scene kind of feels like the last one, which kind of makes me wish they could've used an opportunity to take them in a new direction. Also the climax and ending feels slightly rushed. Despite its long run time it does not feel too long, and tedious. This is my favorite X-Men film so far, and surprisingly a film that will leave viewers with things to think about. Grade: A-
  6. Logan March 14, 6:45 PM, 20% full AMC Starplex Loudoun 11, VA Trailers Free Fire Power Rangers Ghost in the Shell The Fate of the Furious War for the Planet of the Apes CHiPs (AMC Stubs Red Band Trailer) Life (Red Band Trailer) Alien: Covenant (Red Band Trailer) Not much reaction. A couple of laughs at certain moments. The best part of the experience was when someone's phone went off in the middle of the movie.
  7. These types of movies seem to get in the 60-80M range like "Maleficent" and "Cinderella"
  8. Meh. Not really the best at predicting especially when I usually don't look at the box office projections.

  10. Pros: -Breathtaking visuals and CGI -Amazing action sequences -Some good humor -Some brutal deaths which I did not expect. -Kong and Skull crawlers were cool -Credits scene Cons: -WAY too many characters. Couldn't even remember most of their names! -A lot of characters are just there to die. -Some unintentionally funny moments. -Tone kind of felt inconsistent at times. -Spend a lot of times on scenes that could have been used to develop some characters. I didn't care when a lot of them died. -I don't think Kong is supposed to be that big even though I did enjoy him. -Noticable green screen at points. -Poorly edited. -Cluncky dialouge. I enjoyed it quite a bit at times, but the flaws are very noticeable and I just think it is very weird to hire someone who directed only an indie film (Kings of Summer) Or there could have some studio interference. If you want to see Kong punch some things then I think you'll enjoy it. Grade: C
