They've already pulled it in Mexico due to complaints from audiences
According to theatres the short was supposed to be only the first week of release.
Maybe will be the same case for US

I'll definitely try to take out of my schedule to see it eventually, maybe with my mom.
Do it, this is a must-see on family

NOVEMBER 17-29 WEEKEND. JUSTICE LEAGUE DISSAPOINTS AND COCO DOWNS 50%
Justice League
- 5th biggest debut for WB
- A FB or MJ2 multi takes it to $450M land, a SS or WW multi takes it to $490M, chances for $500M+ are very low
- Imagine the mess this would be without Cinépolis
Coco
- Still playing in 2,300 screens. The next week will be arriving to the unknown land of $1B MXN
- With 50% drops would be at $1,040M+ by the time TLJ is released
Everything else got destroyed by the JL-Coco effect

The Last Jedi started PS as good as TFA did, there are several showtimes almost or entirely sold-out around Mexico City and cities at north of the country, places where the saga performs like in the US.
Possibly have similar numbers due to a large fan-base and lack of a wide release since JL, but GA won't care that much having Jumanji, Ferdinand and The Greatest Showman (people just love Hugh Jackman). I'd say TLJ finish somewhere in $350M-$400M.

Deadline reports $183.4M MXN for JL. 17th biggest OW ever; 4th for WB and best for a november opening. Result is 20% over WW, 29% above T:R, 16% under TA, 14% behind BvS and 5% under SS

Exhibitor Relations reports a $9.6M 3-day OW for Justice League, about 185M lc. So so 3.1 multiplier Fri-Sun.
So this actually can miss $500M, would need stellar legs to make it to that milestone

Yes, if manage similar drops to the one this weekend will go over that number by a decent margin

Coco is finally getting a strong hit, despite still playing in 2,000 screens it made $14M on Fri
Ragnarok heads to a sub-$20M weekend. $400M is missing for this one.

They're probably getting numbers from WB along with the spin.
No wonder why, this is 20% behind SS and 40% under BvS.

This weekend for Justice League is like the equivalent of Brazils 1-7 loss against Germany in the World Cup 2014. It just keeps getting worse and everyone laughs at it
Ironically, Brazil is the only country where the movie is overperforming and breaking records.

Thor: Ragnarok (+1.1%).
It pisses me that DHD is always out of place with these comparisons, Ragnarok opened on Thu.
I'm sticking with $180-$200M 3-Day OW

From Deadline:
Mexico came in at No. 1 on Friday with $3.1M (58.7M pesos) from 3,834 screens and landing ahead of the opening day grosses of Wonder Woman (+33%) and Thor: Ragnarok (+48%).

JL should get over 1m admits Fri
I wonder if it is by a wide margin or on par with It, T:R and SM:HC. That would be a $50-$60M Fri, worst case would be $175M and best case would be $210M.
As i said before, this is unpredictable cause we don't know the path it may take.
OD (Fri)/OW ratio for the three last DCEU installments.
- Wonder Woman: 3.5x
- Batman v Superman: 2.9x
- Suicide Squad: 2.5x

Which movie do you think has a chance to topple Coco from the top? Toy Story 4 or Infinity War?
I don't think there's a movie with a chance in a middle term. Coco exploded like crazy, unlike to what people in other places can think, here really wasn't expectation of it becoming No. 1 all-time; marketing was poor until a couple of weeks before release, GA had doubts for all the 'Book of Life' controversy and fear that Disney would show only stereotypes (that would have killed it). Coco was a huge surprise with amazing legs, IW and TS4 will have tremendous debuts but the kind of WOM that Coco reached is hard to get.

The heavy duty pushers of this movie (Braniac 5 and company) there have pretty much written off the domestic market and have moved to the International JL thread and are pushing the "China Will Save It" card.
JL seems to have opened pretty soft in Europe as well as the US.
The movie is opening soft pretty much everywhere except Brazil and China.

Agree that FD is not the best sequel and underperformed in this market (I had huge expectations), but... hating it?
I had same expectations but release date didn't helped at all, there was a lot of marketing coming from the US that when the movie was released not many people was aware of it, Pixar never shouldn't delayed it.
1 hour ago, Purple Minion said:JL is going to benefit from the 4-day OW, but somehow I can see it earning less than BvS... I see SS levels. Which other big movies are released soon, besides Jedi?
I agree, buzz isn't big, any of my friends or from my family wants to see this and other people have told me the same, BvS was a big letdown that hurted the brand and team-ups movies aren't any novelty. The good part is that there's no great competition 'til TLJ so being one of the only choices to see may help

5 hours before it hit theatres, Justice League is finally going up on PS, but in somehow are irregular like Star Wars; strong in some areas but doing poorly in others. Kinda unpredictable right now.

PS for The Last Jedi starts next monday, same day that Daisy, Rian and Mark come to promote it in a black carpet event.
Ready to buy tickets for midnight screening and IMAX on Christmas, hope Cinépolis' servers don't crash this time like they did with TFA.
