Not sure what defense fanboys can muster for this disaster of an opening. Maybe they'll say Marvel has brainwashed audiences or they're too dumb to understand DC Films. -
BvS was like a sprinter who started great but pulled a muscle and limped past the finish line JL is like they got the same injured sprinter to do the same race straight after he just finished the last one.

And I thought Spider-Man's fall from grace with TASM 2 was bad....this is far worse.

Anyways one of the sad things about JL's underperformance is the fact I loved Superman in this film. I would definitely watch a solo film of this Superman (CGI mustache and all) but I doubt we're getting a solo Superman until 2021. Heck we might not even see some of these characters from JL until 2020 the earliest.

Of course Steve will do anything for Bucky. It's his last remaining link to his previous life he misses especially when in the same film Peggy Carter dies.

Should have told Tony about Bucky being responsible for his parents death. Tony only flipped out because Steve hid It for years.

The reason nobody dies in Civil War was the Russos felt that if they did The Avengers would immediately stop fighting. They weren't out to kill which was also my problem with the comic book. They're heroes at the end of the day. And the last scene their interpretation was that Steve was sending an olive branch because he can recognize he was wrong. It doesn't mean Tony forgave him. They will still be at odds come Infinity War.

I'm excited for Aquaman however Justice League didn't do much to increase my enthusiasm for the film.

I thought TASM Films were a perfect example of a studio being completely reactionary to what was the current trend but the DCEU might be close too.

It was intentional cringe. The point is that Peter Parker thinks he's being cool but really he's not. The Martha Moment was definitely not.

Funny enough the combined domestic total of DC this year will probably be in line with most people's expectations. Just that the Wonder Woman and Justice League totals were swapped around.

All early audience scores are fanbase driven. Have to wait weeks until the score settles down and even then you shouldn't rely on them too much.

I think it's a done deal with JL performing very poorly in North America and no significant increases Overseas.

Does anyone miss the days when Age of Ultron's domestic gross was a disappointment?

China? JL is only going to increase by $20M max to what BvS made. Won't matter when JL will gross at least $30M less in North America (and that's being conservative).

Thor: Ragnarok also looks to have a pretty poor drop of 65% this weekend making $300M less certain. But nobody is going to really care with all the JL news.

So if this holds there goes the streak of $100M Opening Weekends for the DCEU? Never thought Justice League would be the one to break them.

OK that $95M seems far too low but if it does end up being the case that's on par with Captain America: The Winter Soldier....

Remember when Zack Snyder (all in good fun I would think) dissed the idea of a Thor film? A bit ironic considering a Thor film is going to outgross a Justice League film on Opening Weekend

Sure but even with the Thanksgiving Weekend it's going to be tough for JL to get $300M if it opens around $110M. It's just bizarre to think that a Justice League film is not a slam dunk for $300M in North America.
