After Jungle Cruise comes out next week the delay announcements from Disney will come. Also very LOL that its all the Americans telling us rising COVID cases are not effecting people going to the theaters.... very telling

Disney more or less pulling out of Cinema Con in person at the end of August should give people a clear indication that Shang Chi either wont stay in that Early September date or it will go to hybrid theaters and Disney+ release. If its delayed then all Marvel Movies (and maybe other Disney stuff too) will be pushed back imo. Anyone who thinks it will just be a theater release in September now is just fooling themselves and that includes NATO even after their little hissy fit last week.

And if they didn't release them people would still be asking for them, I dont get what people want on here? Do you want more insight into streaming numbers or not? Also if they didn't reveal the numbers from Disney+ they still would have had "Biggest Post Pandemic Lockdown Opening Weekend" headline to go on record with, so I'm also not getting the oh they also released the numbers to spin the numbers rhetoric

You're also forgetting outside that over 60 million they also get the monthly subscription Disney+ fee too... I dont know about anyone else but with the delta variant etc I'm expecting them to announce Shang Chi will be a PA and theaters release come September, especially with the Labor Day weekend, that nearly makes more sense to me then BW did. This time next week I expect we'll know if they are going to do it and i'm leaning towards a dual release now that they announced the Black Widow Disney + numbers

People said the same hyperbolic crap after Civil War, "oh spider-man homecoming would make a billion cause of RDJ" then, in its first weekend that dream died Now after endgame and infinty war, the sure thing of a billion dollars is dying on its arse once again in the first week It doesn't matter how good marvel or sony makes these movies past spider-man movies have burnt too many bridges and those people aren't going to go see these movies. Also people dont go back to see it again either. Look at twitter now, its full of good-great reviews but none of them saying oh I can wait to see it again, most of them are just excited about the next phase of marvel movies There will never be a 400m domestic spider-man movie again or a billion dollar spider-man movie, Worldwide, no matter how good it is, the damage was done years ago, this character is not fresh

Already flopping like Homecoming did expecting actual to go lower and lower since its Charlie the actuals are more likely to be 20-22 The first billion dollar spidey movie is dying on it arse just like Homecoming did

But spider-man movies always fall below expectations. So either people on here can't predict or over predict or it's the fact this is more then 11 movies for Spider-Man in less then twenty years and no matter how good marvel does with the movie that fact will always remain. When it comes to predictions with this movie always go lower, Homecoming should have shown people that. Also after being in endgame this will get the same kind of increase Ant man 2 got which is woeful

Just like Homecoming the Spider-Man movies will always fall below expectations. People need to remember that, no matter how good it is

I think the fact that a number of critics have likely seen this and haven't said a word is kind of telling to what kind of reaction this movie is going to get

I do wonder if Shazam not breaking out even with great reviews might be due to its lighter tone and more focus on a younger hero, I also wonder what kind of an effect that may have on Spider-Man Far from Home

Jeez between this Chaos Walking and the Current War Tom Holland movies have had some bad luck
