Ok, "Female lead" might be a better choice.
Still, Clea, unless they really mess it up, is going to be a lot more interesting then the McAdams doctor in the last film.
Though, I repeat the problem was not McAdams, but the script. She is a good actress, she just was not given good material here.
Nobody blames McAdams. They just feel sorry for her. We’ll miss McAdams, not her character.

And it's not like Raimi is as hot a director as he was in the 2010's.
His last movie was "Oz:The Great And Powerful" and though it did not flop, it was a box office disappointment;made only a small profit for a big investment. Raimi sort of needs a big hit at this point.
Look I like Rami a lot but he ain't as big a player as he once was. And "Oz" his last film was only OK imho.
Not surprised Rachel McAdams is gone; her character and the whole storyline were just dull;almost a textbook example of the uncessary love interest nobody was really interested in.
Particulary when there are other love interests for Strange; bring on Clea.
In fact, when I first McAdams was in I presumed she was going to be Clea;she could have played the role but that is water under the bridge. The problem was not McAdams, she is a very good actress; but that the role was not very good.
When it comes to introducing Clea into the MCU, I think I would prefer it more if they didn’t make her a love interest.

Hmm would then they get Danny Elfman for the score then? I quite like the Giacchino Doctor Strange theme though so hopefully they don't ditch it (Elfman didn't ditch the Avengers theme for Ultron).
They've both scored Mission: Impossible films and Spider-Man films. If you're gonna replace an Elfman-esque composer, might as well get Elfman himself.

Would this be Raimi’s first movie since that Oz movie? Dudes been laying low for some reason
He was a producer on Don’t Breathe I think. He’s also been developing another non-IP horror movie for himself to direct.

The answer obviously can’t be “as much as he wants”, because he would still have to tie Scarlet Witch and the multiverse into it, while also making sure he doesn’t do anything that might blatantly contradict the rest of the MCU, or that might go against what Feige has planned.
That’s what negotiations are for. Providing the filmmakers with the rules to follow.

New Natalie Portman, she should've been Clea.
Now we refer to any new shafted non-powered female love interest type as a Rachel McAdams. 😔
It’s sad is that she was the original choice for Pepper Potts.

I've been getting the sense this was the case since Comic Con, when Scarlet Witch was promoted as the sequel's female lead, and McAdams was not mentioned or seen among all the Endgame festivities.
Question is, why?
Her last scene in the movie was before the climax. And her kiss with Strange was more like a farewell kiss than a “let’s get back together” kiss. It felt like Strange was ultimately leaving that life behind by becoming a Master of the Mystic Arts. Seems likely they will introduce Clea.

And unlike Thor, her role doesn’t have a heroic makeover. She’s a variation of Night Nurse who doesn’t have interaction with Strange in the comics.

I watched H&S for that and god that was awful.
When Hobbs and Shaw are on the plane and Hobbs talks about how he’s going to have sex with Shaw’s sister, could Hobbs sound any more like a virgin?

I'm conflicted. This looks terrible, like...god-awful, and not in a proper self-aware manner like Hobbs & Shaw and Fast 8, but on the other hand, I expect a lot of that is down to the way the trailer is cut. The action seems to be just as OTT as the last 5 movies, so I expect it will still be dumb fun, with Cena eventually joining the family or some such nonsense, but the trailer's going for a serious tone that doesn't match the visuals and I think a lot of it is down to Vin Diesel being a charisma vacuum. Essentially... Needed The Rock.
Proper self-aware is 21 Jump Street or Deadpool. Hobbs & Shaw and Fast 8 were neither of those movies. I mean if they were self-aware, where were the jokes about them defying the laws of physics?

I didn’t even realize they brought Justin Lin back, just like I didn’t realize that David Leitch directed Hobbs and Shaw.
It was disappointing that David Leitch didn’t provide us with a unique long take action sequence in H&S.

That ending is some Spider-Man level shit.
You’re referring to the car swinging and not the Han reveal, right? Because the ending is the Han reveal.

Hobbs & Shaw showed almost everything in the trailers but still kept the 2 best camoes under wraps.
what could F9 be hiding if they already have Han?
Liam Neeson in a credits scene set up as the villain for Fast 10.

Hobbs & Shaw cut the melodrama and was all the better for it in my opinion. The way Vin Diesel thinks he’s making some epic saga is kind of hilarious really.
At the same time, H&S’s attempts at sincerity felt half-baked.

Could not stop laughing. And I am absolutely looking forward to this.
Also, when Deckard comes back for Fast 10, I can't wait to see the look on his face.

Sadly, no one cares about her now. People have moved on.
She's filming that Amazon show at the same time so maybe her role here isn't that big. She could easily fit the kind of role Monica Bellucci had.

Bombs away.
No one cares about her and her films in India and so far she has been a total flop in Hollywood barring that TV show.
That feels like a 180 on how you feel about her. 😬

Bad Boys 3 makes me think this'll be a big hit. Might be in for an oughties nostalgia resurgence.
Gotta make it good first.
On top of that, John Wick has momentum that Matrix doesn’t have.

I did not expect this to have the same plot as Gemini man.
And who’d have thought Bad Boys would do it better?

What about Umar? Might make sense to have her as a villain if they're planning to introduce Clea.
