No director, no cast, no script, but 2018 release date. Ok, Sony....
QuoteVenom bled plenty of black ink, enough to match his costume. A profit of $246.9M bests the $200.1M profit on 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming by 23%,
One of the biggest flukes in blockbuster BO history....

Would August have been a better release date?
August is kinda crowded this year but might have helped in any other August see the returns of Rampage -> The Meg

This movie releasing almost everywhere around the same time ?

The movie is PG-13 right? So why would there be any controversy over any “violent” or “scary” parts
How dark are we talking about ?
Doctor Strange begins with a cold blooded decapitation and the introductory villain scene in Gotg features implied death by smashing a huge hammer to the head on a pow

Lmfao. You're entitled to your personal opinion on the film, but it's factual that Snyder's direction of this franchise was not well received by the GA and almost sunk it. Again, just look at the reception of all the movies he had a major hand in vs Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and now apparently this.
Im still catching up to these so have you been thread banned yet ?

Cant look more ridiculous then what Loki had in the Avengers.
They might need to find a way around the feather thats hawk girl territory and everyone would be screaming hawkgirl

Secondly way too little of African actors from their different countries even if movies are based in specific parts of Africa. They also don't do their justice to their nationalities.
To MCU's defense they generally give minorities african american, Chinese and Hispanic characters there due.... by having them as sidekick to their main lead hero

For anyone doubting about less foreign turnout for a lesser known american superhero comedy I give you freaking Ant-Man movies and Gotg.
FFS every MCU entry can is more of less an action comedy. If Antman & Spiderman Homecoming which is through and through a dramedy (spidey doesnt even throw a punch its just web slinging) about some teenage kids can sell then Superman for kid shouldnt be a hard sell for foreign market in this era of superhero craze.
Also I'd say that as from a non-native English speaking non-anglo market perspective that most hard time i had connecting with the jokes, banter and references exchanged around character in a big popcorn movie was IT 2018.
> White trash talking kids
> White suburb setting
> 80s references ? damn the whole thing is in 80s
Thats as "American" u can get in a mainstream live action tentpole imo which didnt stop it to become the tentpole overseas.
That IT movie actually proved that The Stranger Thing effect is in fact real and global and it wont act as a detractor but as a heavy plus around the backdrop of usual superhero-ing.
I see it like this : If rated-R Stranger Things with Horror can work to amazing effects than Stranger Things with Superheros has the chance of catching atleast some of its thunder

Asian Actor Donnie Yen (who was in Rogue One and going to be in Mulan) for a big role in Marvel's Shang Chi. Hearsay its the role of the main villain.
What a waste if that's true. If he was 10 years younger, he could be Shang Chi himself.
Thats Hollywood casting big Asian stars in a nutshell nowadays sadly...
