Recent movies like Dr Strange, Spiderman, and Black Panther were much better off for not having romance included, and Iron Man, Thor, Cap are all better off for having their romantic interests be killed off / written out.

Fans of the MCU are gay, straight and everything in between. Just like many female MCU fans are happy to finally see themselves taking center stage in the MCU with CM, LGBTQs deserve to be represented too.

I see where this thread is going :kitschjob:

For me personally, Captain Marvel works on all three levels, as an internally consistent, enjoyable and interesting film, as a payoff for previous films (Fury’s eye as an example) and as a foreshadowing of things to come.

    • Takes an intriguing look into Fury's past with that eye from Winter Soldier into a punchline
    • Turns Fury into even more of a lair when Thor arrived and how he told he is our intro to space dudes
    • Fury knew all along that there's this almighty space marine and the level of threat they can be facing after 20yrs and what the best he could come up with ??  3 mortal soldeirs , guy with extra firepower , an unreliable hulk and a blonde space dude who Fury didnt knew if he's even that powerful, thats your best bet... compared to this girl (when u think about it thats some Amanda Waller SS shit)

Idk about the future but its already putting some big question marks on Fury' integrity in the past

Now she has to get her 2 lives aligned, fine-tune her abilities, find a home for the Skrulls, maybe is one of the reasons the Krees had to sign the peace treaty

She better not pull a Wonder Woman on Earth..

I get that she a doorway to more cosmic adventures and that they'll handle her like Thor that is more space adventures less earth time but she's HUMAN who's the most powerful hero the earth had and it makes more for her to be THE line of defense for her own planet rather than wandering light years away fighting for Inter Planetary Peace.

I do think Vision is the one character that the Russos/M&M never quite kind a handle on the same way Whedon did.  He was so fascinating and intriguing in AOU, but, IMO, a little flat in both CW and IW.

the word you're looking for is underutilized same goes for Scarlet witch

if only bc they are so hard to please

Dont think its because of that but this has more to do with majority of demand being met and this makes sense since CM release become even more hotter property with Endgame' imminent release than just a usual MCU opener which made people want to catch this as quick as possible.

Still will be another ceiling breaker on solo SH debuts with that OW and final. The run is just normalizing after the front loaded opening

A little more into the Skrulls side being the victims would have made it more impactful. Just a thought came to mind. The emotions could have worked very well there.

They just glossing over that science guy's sacrifice scene and following that scene with Kree shapeshifting jokes is one of the example of tonal shifts.

That science guy was the real Coulson of the movie
