Huh
Reviews weren’t “bad” though.

My only real question at this point about this coming out in July is that it would leave the November slot vacant. I assumed the plan was for the next Spider-Man movie to take November, but that still hasn’t been announced, so I assume it’s not happening.

That seems more like common sense at this point than an actual scoop.

Did no one get Cap 4 trailer?
I did.

The idea that RDJ is just playing a “variant” of Doom, and that the “real” Doom will show up later down the line sounds like some serious copium.

I know it’s dumb to try and make sense of continuity in a Deadpool film, but since this movie made a big deal out of how Logan is part of the same universe/timeline as the Deadpool movies, wouldn’t that mean that Deadpool’s X-Men friends are going to die soon? its established that this movie takes place in 2024, which would mean that the events of Logan are only five years away.

HArrison Ford during this movie's press tour is gonna be FUN!
Someone actually asked Harrison Ford of all people that?

I mean the only thing this might do is have studios force random cameos into their movies from other properties the studios own. Not invest in more expensive R-rated movies.
Technically, The Flash already did that and everyone hated it.

I've said before and I'll say it again: a 200+ million opening for an R rating will change the way studios approach and market R rated movies.
Didn’t the first Deadpool already do that?

I guess Spider-Man 4 isn’t coming out in 2025 then?

Gonna be honest, this was kinda an underwhelming Comic Con. The only real big announcement was the Doctor Doom casting, which reads like desperation on Marvel’s part.

This would’ve been a Disney+ release a couple of years ago.

Was the unveiling of the logo the big DC announcement scoopers were talking about?

Funny how 2024 seemed like such a bleak year for the box office just two months ago.

It’s crazy how much outcry against the destruction in MoS seemed to influence future Hollywood blockbusters. Even Marvel seemed to go out of there to avoid having the heroes fight in populated areas after that.

I think I might’ve missed the part where Superman “levels buildings on purpose” in MoS.

Levy hasn’t delivered a massive hit (other than this) since Night at the Museum. I highly doubt anything he makes after this will gross that much more than something like Free Guy did. My point being his name isn’t really going to sell tickets.
Wasn’t Free Guy considered pretty successful for a pandemic release?

Coppola could’ve been the cool underdog rebelling against the studio system, and he had to ruin it by acting like a perverted old man from an anime.

Tje real problem was that Sue was cast way too young in the previous movies; she is supposed to be in her early 30's.
I thnk the whole relationship between Sue and her kid brother was distorted by this; made that Sue is trying hard to be a surrogate mother for her kid brother much harder to put across.
People keep citing the Ulitmate FF as a justifcation for maiing the FF so young in the previous two films; that the Ulitmate version of the FF was a notable flop in the Ulitmate Universe goes right by them.
Kate Mara actually was in her early 30s at the time. The problem was that the movie gave her practically nothing to do, and her chemistry with Reed was virtually nonexistent.

I’m sorry, but didn’t Zaslav state a while back that WBD doesn’t need the NBA?

At this point, the prospect of Jurassic World, Superman and F4 coming out in the same month is looking like one of the only interesting things about 2025 for Hollywood, so this moving to November would just make the year seem even more uneventful.
