btw the whole "unnecessary" complaint is dumb. Like 1% or less of movies could be considered  "necessary" lmao

    Deep, bro.

Toy Story 4 can’t shake a feeling of being redundant. And when it aims for the tears, there’s a distinct feeling of “This stung more last time”. It’s the nature of sequels.

Why do people want to shoehorn characters being gay into everything again?

You want a character to be gay, fine. But have it be an original character who's not already established from a previous movie and not shoehorn an orientation in to push a "representation" agenda when gay people are only 4% of the population when people want to push it and act like its 20%.

Like a character for their actual character, don't just say "I just like this character because they're gay for no reason".

So you agree then that 1/25 fictional characters should totally be gay and anything less than that is bullshit?

Are Sarah, T-800 and John Connor digitally de-aged in the opening or they are just going to show their backs in slow motion without showing their faces? If former, does it look alright vfx-wise?

They're played by doubles who will be digitally aged to look like Linda, Edward, and Arnold. (It's actually Linda's voice, though.)

Only one shot was finished, with Sarah looking over her shoulder at the ocean - it looked good, if a little digital in that normal de-aging way.

  4. I try to make outlines of screened films to compare them to the final cut, just to track reshoots and the like. I'm posting this single paragraph from the outline because, as a geek, this woulda intrigued the fuck outta me.

Some spoilers about the current future status quo, but generally I find this bit more intriguing than super spoilery.

    Spoiler

Driving scene. Sarah quizzes Grace about the future. They don’t have Skynet, they have Legion, a defense system (Sarah laughs at it all happening again). Governments tried to fry Legion with EMPs and Legion responded with nukes. Grace asks again why Sarah was on that bridge. Sarah says she occasionally receives encrypted text messages, many times years apart. The messages have coordinates. When she follows the coordinates, she finds a Skynet Terminator. Sarah then proceeds to kill the Terminator, every time. Every encrypted message is signed “For John.”
