The trailer really does feel incredibly desperate. One positive thing I have to say about it though is that the trailer makes it seem like the movie has actual stakes.

After having watched it, I felt like it would've been a decent trailer, if the actors weren't giving major substitute teacher energy and if the main fight between the hero and villain was more visually intriguing.

You have superman like powers, but you're fighting hand to hand Jason Statham battles?

Maybe the film is a dumb comedy. Plenty of MCU movies are marketed like dumb comedies and they make a lot of money.

Disney has gotten into too many social justice battles as of late. I suspect this will affect the bottom line as the base audience seems more of the "anti-SJW" type. And if you can't capture the base audience, what hope can there be to capture the general audience? This, coupled with MCU movie quality collapse (into the abyss) , general cape crusader fatigue, less people willing to spend money at the boxoffice compared to summer, an internet despised character/actress, has this film projected to post the biggest sequel boxoffice collapse since WW1984 (COVID) and Alice in the Wonderland 2.

  3. Honestly, it just feels sad at this point. I get the feeling that this going to do what WW1984 did to Wonder Woman. In getting the character cancelled and written off.
