Netflix can "weather the storm" much better than most others in the AMPTP as they are less reliant on Hollywood. The biggest show ever on there, Squd Game, is Korean, meaning strikes don't affect it.

My guess is that their numbers are fudged heavily. And if it comes out so, it'll affect their stock prices.

Netflix will be the last hold out among the major production studios.

I remember when, except for the coming attractions, theaters did not have commercials before a movie....

I love arriving 20 mins late, so that i can skip the trailers of movies that I'll never watch. It's extra convenient that they allow booking of seats nowadays.

The Disney+ Hotstar price in Indonesia will increase from the current $13 per year to $52.4 per year from October 3. People are complaining about the recent price hike in the US, but this is a whole other level hike lol

How are you going to hike your prices by 300% in one sitting? :hahaha:

Can someone smarter than me explain why a company like WBD or Universal or any of the big studios wouldn't agree with terms separately to gain a bunch of goodwill and get a big leg up on the competition?

They're making less profits (cord cutting, streaming not being as great as they imagined, etc.) as years before, while borrowing/cost of debt is high??
