  1. Quite Frankly, I'm not sure any of your opinions, on the title changes, character irrelevancy, bad cameos, lack of screen times, would've matter if they put out some inspirational marketing material. If you watched the trailer, it appears to be a low stakes goofy action comedy. One in which Brie Larson is not the best fit for. In my opinion, it should've been Marvel's take on the original Top Gun and Superman. The name, Captain Marvel, should elude a sense of awe and wonder.

Unrelated but if the Marvels is tracking this poorly for a November 10th release date, imagine how much it would've done if it came out on July 28th like it was once planned to?

I'd say it would've done higher in July release date, even despite the BarbienHeimer phenomenon.

    because

    a. There's no school

    b. It was hot as hell, so people wanted to be in an air conditioned environment

    c. Barbie was a comedy, Oppenheimer a biopic drama.

    d. Student loan repayments restart this month. Who's the main demographic for Marvel movies? Young Adults.

I enjoyed the movie! I wish we had more sci fi movies like this, 65, and Moonfall. I like turning my brain off and watching how humanity (or humanoids) deal with out of left field situations.

As a big Sci-fi head, I'm going to watch this tomorrow. I sincerely hope it's not the snooze fest like the other two movies that you compared it to.

If it is, then I can find solace in the fact that it's Discount Tuesdays (Psuedo Matinee).

California gotta be the worst state run by Democrats. New York and New Jersey are #2 and #3. There are like a dozen GOP-run states that are worse than it though, thanks to their awful policies.

I wouldn't say it's terribly run, but the tax receipts are heavily reliant on constant stock market and real estate growth. Both of which are receding.
