Just saw the reddit post. My god. This is worse than I could've ever imagined.

Fact isn't nonsense. The fact is trailer metrics of the Marvels was like a MCU TV show. Even loki S02 trailer had more views than The Marvels trailer. 50% People just ignored it, didn't even watch it.
They didn't watch it because it wasn't good enough to blow up on the internet.

50% of people didn't even watch the trailer. Title gave the impression that it is a tv show, plus people just tend to ignore the movie of a character which they hate or they think it's irrelevant, supporting character.
Nonsense. A good trailer and marketing campaign conquers all.

Quite Frankly, I'm not sure any of your opinions, on the title changes, character irrelevancy, bad cameos, lack of screen times, would've matter if they put out some inspirational marketing material. If you watched the trailer, it appears to be a low stakes goofy action comedy. One in which Brie Larson is not the best fit for. In my opinion, it should've been Marvel's take on the original Top Gun and Superman. The name, Captain Marvel, should elude a sense of awe and wonder.

If I had a word to describe these posters, It would be "uninspiring". No wonder it's getting no traction.
They could've just emulated the Rocketeer poster and made exponentially better than this.

If the Marvels and Aquaman are bombing this bad, perhaps every superhero movie will bomb and fail for the next 2 years.

Idk how Empire is seeing $70M OW. Previews don’t look to be anywhere near $10m rn from various market pools
Okay, then what are your early predictions, good sir?

So what's this tracking to open at?
I don't wanna read through 20 pages of bickering lol
Empire City proclaimed his early projections were more in the range of $70m

Unrelated but if the Marvels is tracking this poorly for a November 10th release date, imagine how much it would've done if it came out on July 28th like it was once planned to?
I'd say it would've done higher in July release date, even despite the BarbienHeimer phenomenon.
because
a. There's no school
b. It was hot as hell, so people wanted to be in an air conditioned environment
c. Barbie was a comedy, Oppenheimer a biopic drama.
d. Student loan repayments restart this month. Who's the main demographic for Marvel movies? Young Adults.

The Marvels was gonna be pretty close to done by Christmas no matter what, I don’t think it having bad tracking will affect Aquaman
They’re going to perform the same. Give or take $50mil

He is a doomer that still tracks numbers though .
I think he’s a theater owner who stands to gain from its success. Or at least that’s what I heard from the strike thread

Worst MCU opener ever probably.
The whole operation is spiralling downwards. Very Soon, we may only see one Marvel / DC movie a year.

We need to get the Zodiac Killer's opinion on this sequel.

I enjoyed the movie! I wish we had more sci fi movies like this, 65, and Moonfall. I like turning my brain off and watching how humanity (or humanoids) deal with out of left field situations.
As a big Sci-fi head, I'm going to watch this tomorrow. I sincerely hope it's not the snooze fest like the other two movies that you compared it to.
If it is, then I can find solace in the fact that it's Discount Tuesdays (Psuedo Matinee).

California gotta be the worst state run by Democrats. New York and New Jersey are #2 and #3. There are like a dozen GOP-run states that are worse than it though, thanks to their awful policies.
I wouldn't say it's terribly run, but the tax receipts are heavily reliant on constant stock market and real estate growth. Both of which are receding.
