Now Hollywood has to worry about their products underperforming because of social media boycotts because of what's going on around the world.

Exactly now bonuses for successful streaming shows yes. But residuals for subscribers when half the content on streaming services isn't even sag affiliated absolutely not.

this was the most important thing bar none.

I'm curious to see what studios start racing their casts into production. It's Geeked Week on Netflix so it wouldn't surprise if One Piece, Wednesday and Stranger Things casts are asked to do something or say something in like a video

Broadcast TV is shot to hell regardless, like we're looking at a season of maybe 10 episodes if that for shows.
Summer 2024 slate I imagine still needs to finish filming so that's what they're saying eneds to be saved.

After The Flash, I can never trust these people
I'm waiting for the embargo to lift, and that'll tell us the real story
yup after every critic loved the flash I no longer go with what critics are saying.w

It is so disturbing though that studios think audiences will watch a movie with a Gene Kelly AI or something akin to it when the actor is dead. Do they truly think audiences would find that "cool and neat"? I mean who are we kidding these greedy shits thought it'd be so cool to disrespect George Reeves in The Flash movie.

So many lawsuits are going to happen because of AI and people trying to capitalize with known actors/actresses. Get ready to get sued up the ass if you do it though.
This is something the studios must accept, absolutely zero AI. Sure as hell not scanning some dead person without their consent or paying the family.

The AI stuff is something Disney probably wants too get away with because we all know how much they love using dead people for nostalgia bait. See Carrie Fisher in Rogue One.

The strike lasting until January would mostly affect mid-sized adult movies (aka my favorites) and TV moreso than blockbusters (plenty of them already shot) or indie/foreign productions.
The TV it will effect is mostly network TV that desperately needs content for their upcoming seasons. Streaming isn't as effected, Network TV is royally screwed.

Ehhhhh, leaving a like on a picket march seems really anodyne to me.
I've seen much more determinative tea leaves in my day is perhaps a better way to put it.
Yeah my thoughts exactly, obsessing over liked tweets just seems silly to me.

Every SINGLE day you guys keep telling me the strike is ending that day. It ends up being false every time.
Relax there has not been an update of any kind yet.
That person has no affiliation with any people on SAG, she's just an actress, ignore her outburst.
SAG is looking over the proposal by the AMPTP today.

what do we think about this?
Basically it means any show that doesn't make successful viewership numbers does not get a cut of streaming revenue. Which is the smart thing to do.

John Cena just got destroyed at WWE Crown Jewel. Strike really must be about to end.
yeah wrestling insiders basically reported cena would be in wwe till the strikes ended. So him getting completely wiped out, makes me think he's definitely on his way back to Hollywood.

Why the hell is the show called Echo then? I've never seen a studio more ashamed of their own characters.

Do people even bother reading the damn article even Duncan Crabtree is pleased with this. Because it means they're taking their proposal seriously.
Quote“I would be worried if they got back to us in a couple of hours, then I’d think they weren’t taking [the proposals] seriously,” a guild source told Deadline. “This is how it should work if we want to get to a good and fair deal.”

Do you see how many people wanna cancel Noah Schnapp or 80% of Hollywood on Twitter and you have posts with like 40k likes and stuff saying to boycott Stranger Things 5 until Noah is no longer involved in the project. Like this shit is crazy and toxic. Social media is literally the biggest cesspool around.
