It’s not making any money back if OS is only 6 million above DOM. Maybe WB’s will finally start listening to what the fans want since the media isn’t on there side either with reviews and this 200m experiment hasn’t worked out.

First 20-page weekend thread since?
It would be at 80-100 if peoples opinions weren’t deleted or they simply were aloud to have different ones. Dictatorships never end well.

Not bad at all actually;
I mean some of us were even expecting Shazam level or even below 50m based on presales.
Let's see how it does overseas.
Why do people keep comparing it to Shazam? Shazam cost 100m to make.. BA cost double that so this is bad. -

by the way it's CENTURY not decade. Decade is 10 years, century is 100 years, in case you are confused about that
Anyway it's not like they are hopping on the popular cause of the hour to promote their movie, the ocean is something that Cameron has been passionate about for his whole life and it shows in his career. How dare he use his platform to bring a little more attention to it? He doesn't have to do this at all. It's a really silly thing to get worked up about, save your outrage energy for something else
The only one getting worked up seems to be you since you spent way too long focusing on a typo even bolding and enlarging the font all to tell me something you knew I already know.Noticing this type of marketing isn’t “getting worked up” it’s called not being naive. If Avatar and Disney want to virtue signal during a freaking movie trailer especially about the earth they will get called out for being hypocrites.

You are a bit wrong here.
"Some percentage of the presumably-massive 'Avatar' sequel gross will go to charity," he revealed last year. "Fox has partnered with me to donate a chunk of the profits to environmental causes that are at the heart of the 'Avatar' world."

No I’m not. This article is 10 years old from 2012 long before all of the delays or Fox being bought out. Notice how Disney’s messaging isn’t saying any of the profits will go to charity in the video? -

damage if they screwed up supes again = very expensive
If they finally start treating Superman like there MVP with a proper MoS sequel centred around him than this mistake of a movie will be forgotten.

So, Worldwide Shazam made 366M from a 159M opening weekend.
How much is Black Adam going to make from a 140M opening weekend worldwide? Let's assume there's no China release. In terms of Warner Bros? -150m

If you read the posts above, it was top 10 for 4 weeks, it still has another 3 weeks of the show to go. It was number 5 just two weeks ago.
It’s averaging about 11-13m viewers a week.
I can read thank you
Like I said it started off outside the top ten for its premiere which is the worst performance for a marvel show to date then only got as high as 5/6 and has been trending down ever since. Last week it was 10th and this week it’s completely out. Not a good sign for anyone who’s paying attention to how this is playing out.

Nowhere in the video does it say that buying a ticket for the film will help the cause.
Nowhere in the linked site does it say that buying a ticket for the film will help the cause.
All it's doing is spread awareness and link to a page that explains what people can do to help more in detail (the "learn more" link on the page literally connects you to a nature.org page about this very collaboration...and no, nowhere in there does it say that buying a ticket for the film will help the cause either.).
Seriously, come on.
You’d have to be pretty gullible if you can’t see what they are trying to do “Disney and Avatar support this” and then interjecting there movie clips with a completely different subject. There’s literally no reason to slice your movie into this subject to “send a message”.. by the way saying “half the worlds ocean life might die in the next decade” isn’t a positive message or true it’s just fear mongering for the sake of this silly movie to guilt trip people into watching it. -

Disney doesn't give a fuck, but there's nothing wrong with spreading a positive message through a film that is very much centered around it. Yes it would all be nice if companies suddenly stopped caring about profit and just threw all their money on the right causes and went under but, you know, maybe be a tad more realistic and take what you can get.
Its false advertising.. there message is “buying this movie ticket will save oceans” and trying to guilt trip people into thinking they did something other than make a corporation richer that doesn’t give a crap about the environment. It’s nice for them they’ve got some gullible people who actually defend big corporations but it’s actually really unrealistic to think any of this is about spreading a positive message.. the video even ends on a negative note.

It’s crazy how stupid WB’s is.. they would rather spend/lose 200million on an unknown superhero so that they could realise they would have been better off spending it on a MOS sequel in the first place.

Season finale didn’t crack the top ten. Actually I think it’s only ever appeared once in the top ten and it was in 10th.

lol yeah right Disney/Avatar.. you don’t need to spend 1 billion making 5 movies to tell us you care about oceans. Spend the 1 billion on oceans if you care about oceans and not profiting of virtue signalling and lame marketing smh -

Yes, I’d love a She Hulk movie. The show is like top 3 in Phase 4 and probably the second best series.
I’ve changed my mind I want to see how this translates to box office numbers after seeing the Neilson numbers for this show

And reading that Hollywood Reporter article, they absolutely nail it. Gone are the days where people can’t just be ok with a movie.. it’s either gotta be black or white.. it’s out of control. Better to just stay away from all this and watch what you want and don’t let this crap get in your way.

Morbius’ RT audience score is actually moving up. Guessing people are going in with rock bottom expectations (thinking it will be as bad as Fant4stic or something like that) so it allows them to fee “oh I guess it wasn’t that bad”
You know you don’t have to do mental gymnastics to tell people there own opinions.. maybe just admit people like Morbius and think it was a good movie and move on eh? That wasn’t hard now was it

This is basically DC’s eternals in terms of interest and budget. Both 200m costing monsters that are going to lose a ton of money but generally well received by the small audiences who went to go see it. People can sugar coat it all they want but it’s still a flop for Warner Bros, they introduced a new character in a splintered universe of there own making. Did they really expect more than 67m opening based on it just being Dwayne Johnson?
