this is no where near the level of DC RT low but now marvel fans get to know the sinking feeling that DC fans have had for almost a decade haha.
And this is exactly what DC used to ask for MoS, how a middle of the road review tends to be rotten haha.
There’s a distinction, Marvel fans don’t equal MCU fans lol but overall I agree.
Venom had a rotten tomatoes score that would send MCU fans to rehab and believe me they tried to make us fail but we laughed at there stupid faces and made almost a billion dollars and are about to do the same with the sequel

Why did they release reviews so early? It killed all the hype. They couldn't have possibly thought reviews would be positive. They did have test screenings
Didn’t they believe this could be an Oscar contender? I think it was actually a headline on this thread before it all came crashing down in a big ball of flames.

Europe business is weak compared to the first Venom. It may or may not get a China release. If it does, i don't see it reaching the heights of the original.

We’ve already made rotten tomatoes irrelevant twice but we would chuckle eternally..

RT is so fake as IMDb, Cinemascore &Metacritic.
Follow Douban ✋
I agree, luckily the majority of audiences don’t pay attention to these dodgy review sites with there suspect reviews, but still a portion do which is sad. Voting with your wallet is the only review that should matter none of these sites can be trusted, all as bad as each other and easily open to review tampering/bombing.

Not exactly. It's set pandemic records in a few of the markets mentioned like Russia and Brazil, but it's nowhere near "highest grossing movie of all-time" in any market.

June 2019.
While you convince yourself how Venom somehow has bad WOM but it’s sequel out opened the first in a pandemic and every other movie and not just in America this year Venom 2 will be busy surpassing those films even without China and will finish way ahead WW and will be gunning for the top 2 highest grossing films of 2021.

Not really. I have seen audience reaction scores being bad for this in Korea, and 84% RT is not good either.
One country isn’t the world and since when has 84% been not good? It’s higher than the first one. This fake narrative that it has bad of WoM was already getting old the first time round.

I have no doubt that it will be a hit, it's already a hit across the world but I'm sorry I was just expecting a better quality film than that. It is sure that my opinion will have no impact but I have the impression that the film receives a lot of negative reviews everywhere : in France I have already shared the bad reviews of spectators and journalists, in China the film has started with very bad grades on Maoyan and Douban. And on IMdB Venom 2 is 6.4 / 10. Obviously we all know it here, bad WOM = film with less legs and therefore less audience and box office.
Its not even out in China and it’s already among the highest grossing movies of all time in a lot of countries, it has great legs. Rotten tomatoes is verified audience reviews and it’s at 84%.

Honestly, I had seen Venom 1 and I liked it quite a bit. When the 2 came out, I was happy to see the rest and even when I saw the reviews in France (1.5 / 5 press rating and 2.2 / 5 spectator rating). In fact, after seeing this crappy movie, I share these disastrous opinions.
That’s too bad you didn’t enjoy it and that the rest of the world disagrees. You’ll just have to be in the minority when I say your views will have no impact on it continuing to resonate with audiences and break more records.
-
And that reflects in its ratings. First Venom 30% critics 81% audience v Venom 2 60% critics 84% audience
It’s breaking records across the world it’s not got bad WOM

This was also the first weekend without restriction in São Paulo. Venom 2 had an amazing hold of just -33%. Halloween Kills' released with a little more than half of what the previous movie did in its opening.
Nest week is time for Duna and Rob's Gone Wrong.

Ah that original tweet must’ve had a typo then.
7% ahead of Venom for the 3 day I assume, as Venom 1 burned off two full days worth of demand with a 5 day opening didn’t it?
Yeah so 7% ahead for the 3 day so it out opened the first just like America and a lot of other places. It will already make a good profit without China once it’s all said and done WW.
