  1. Ralph has underperformed big time IMO. I liked the original and coupled with Internet & Disney stuff, I was hoping for $250mn plus North America but right now $200mn seems like struggle. In fact, being about 70% of The Grinch in daily numbers, will go lower further, is embarrassing.
  2. Buzz is quite good, the film will open over 30cr nett but that's not a concern, the problem for SRK is word of mouth. He desperately needs good audience reception with this one.
  3. The reports I received is that the first half is great but the second half is unconventional and many found it average.
  4. December 06-08, 2018 Week 50. Top Box Office Admission in UAE Poor weekend overall. Mortal Engines #1 followed by Kedarnath
  5. Spider Man Into The Spider Verse $13mn Approx Friday. The Mule $6.25mn Friday. Mortal Engine $3.25mn
  6. Indian animation sucks. Sucks badly. Most of them are basically "mythological" or "religious" stories. The highest grossing animation is Chaar Sahibzaade with just ₹28cr ($4.5mn). The second best is less than ₹7cr ($1mn). Hollywood animation have their niche, only Incredible 2 is able to cross ₹50cr. No other film managed even ₹30cr. Top Animation films in India
  7. Ralph had sequel factor and Wednesday, here its Friday. Should be bigger "x". Said that +/- $500k give or take.
  8. Just came out watching Spider Man: Into The Spider Verse, pretty sure its best Spidey film, however my favourite remain Homecoming. *hide* Opening is poor in India, however, on expected note though, animations are weak here.
  9. $17mn opening day I feel. Saturday would be around same and $14mn Sunday. $45-50mn weekend.
  10. Superhero genre was kind of flat in last few years. But AntMan and The Wasp did well compared to rest of the world and Venom and now Aquaman. So has the market lifted or it's just coincidence.
  11. IMDb is fan spammed. RT for Indian films ain't that good measure. Its pathetic film though. 1st half is ok, 2nd half is ridiculous. Yeah Indian films have intervals.
  12. Remurenations itself are ₹200cr Approx. COP is ₹200-225cr. Then there is P&A of ₹50cr and ₹50cr plus finance overheads.
  13. Baahubali: The Conclusion - ₹132.81 crore 2.0 - ₹67.1 crore Thugs of Hindostan - ₹59.68 crore Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - ₹54.71 crore Happy New year - ₹50.77 crore Sultan - ₹50.14 crore Sarkar - ₹49.32 crore Kabali - ₹47.86 crore Dhoom 3 - ₹45.20 crore Baahubali: The Beginning - ₹45.08 crore Top Opening day grossers
  14. you missed the part, *if Zero is liked*. Yeah his last films were pathetic, they failed but he is still bigger star than Aamir.
  15. Inflated numbers. The India gross in weekend was ₹240cr (₹175cr FSS). Will mostly close at ₹450cr India and $20mn Overseas for ~₹590cr worldwide. Yeah best so far if you dont consider Secret Superstar. Zero will challenge it, if well made can do ₹800cr globally. Ohh if you are asking about weekend, its ₹335cr 4 days and ₹250cr FSS.
