In cinemas I agree. Out of cinemas (in term of merchandising sales) Frozen is the biggest cinematic (overall) brand WW follow by Minions (that are the only strong cinema brands born in 2010's). TLK and TS have been very strong at the time the original opened but now are outdated (merchandise speaking). SW is bigger only in America. Marvel and Harry Potter also are strong WW but aren't originally cinematic. Also Disney Princess brand sell a lot.
Minions & DM we should count all .. after the coming sequels this franchise has the best scope worldwide.. IMO
Frozen in Asia & USA/CAN is ridiculous & could conquer Europe with Frozen II
SW is unkillable in Domestic , Europe & Japan
Marvel's 2nd home is Asia .. Now latin too unbelievable growth
HP has WW reach but aren't originally cinematic as you said .

Turkish Cinema has good market?
in 1960's Turkish workers arrived in Germany to fill the demand for cheaper labor in a booming post-war economy. many of them never left..
according to reports approx 0.750 M Turkish labor were goes to Germany during 1961 to 1973.. half of those who came returned to Turkey & the other half remained in Germany

If Ice Age is a huge brand in Europe, TS is a huger brand there.
TS is biggest animation brand in UK alongside TLK

There is a bigger division than that, Frozen is the biggest animation in Asia, but in Europe and Latin America other animations are stronger or are in the same level.
Toy Story by far the biggest brand in Latin even more than CBM ..
in UK also TS is the biggest animation brand by miles .. DM & Ice Age franchise also in Europe
Frozen clearly leading in Asia
Edit :- forgot to add The Lion King .. this franchise has Universal reach

And in the UK?
In Latin America in general I find it hard to Frozen 2 get close to TLK, so I already expected that Mexico didn't have a good opening (compared to other markets) compared to TLK.
TLK - $20.83 M
Frozen II - $17.8 M

Any comparisons to TLK. I know F2 is crushing it in Japan and Korea(DUH) but how about europe/asia/la.
OW Legging behind in France , UK , Spain & Mexico as compared to TLK
Asian Markets
Frozen II OW >>> TLK OW

In IMAX, F2 iced the the all-time biggest opening for an animated title, earning $18M globally and toppling Incredibles 2’s $15.6M debut. Internationally, the film delivered $9.7M making it the biggest IMAX opening for an animated film overseas...

It is great, but also, aren’t these some of the fastest growing markets in overall size in past 6 years?
Southeast Asian markets are one of the fastest growing markets in past few years ..

$6.2m in Indonesia! That's already the total of TS4. And also a superhero movie level of OW. For a Disney princess musical animated film lol. A combination of genres that really hard to generate big box office numbers here. Will easily beat Minions's $8.8m (and TLK's $9m if you count it) to be the biggest animated film ever and the first one to cross $10m!
That Philippines $6.1m is even crazier.
Asia numbers are crazy for Frozen II
Philippines
Frozen - $2.69 M full run
Frozen II - $6.1 M OW
Indonesia
Frozen - $2.77 M full run
Frozen II - $6.2 M OW

Anyway, nice OS opening. Asia pulling a lot of weight but great European debuts too.
Nice start in Latin too (Major markets will open later ARG , BRA & Chile) .. Overall Frozen II is all set for $950 M to $1 B OS numbers
