  1. The Mummy 25th anniversary re-release opens April 26. This is a full re-release, not a one-night-only thing. Will keep an eye on the ticket date.
  2. General ticket sales for Unsung Hero have begun today at some major chains, the early access has been on sale for quite some time. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes early access PLF shows on May 8th.
  3. That theater chain didn't end up putting them on sale on the 22nd and did indeed move their sale date to tomorrow, the 26th. Looks like there was an error over there, so no worries now.
  4. Angel Studios' next movie Sight goes on sale March 27.
  5. It's still very much a thing. This new movie opens with the logo.
  6. 86 does not normally match A-. B+ is the norm for that score. Shazam 2 is the better comp, that has the same verified RT audience score. If it leans more toward families, an A- is still possible, but this is not a good start and certainly doesn't suggest strong word-of-mouth.
  7. Alright, for anybody planning to track First Omen, there seems to be a lot of confusion about this with theater chains putting this up on different dates. There's a major chain that's putting their tickets on sale tomorrow (and there's apparently a theater or two doing 35mm presentations), meanwhile other chains are going up on the 26th. None of it makes any sense, there doesn't seem to be any coordination on this title.
  8. Abigail on sale April 4. As sort of expected, Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary has no Thursday previews.
  9. I've got First Omen going on sale March 29, but a pal of mine still thinks this could go on sale sooner. Let's call this one tentative for now. Also @katnisscinnaplex thanks for updating the Google Drive spreadsheet!
  10. Star Wars Episode I re-release tickets go on sale March 22
  11. Hasn't Lionsgate been skipping Canadian releases for a bunch of their titles recently? I remember this making news when they skipped a release in Canada for Moonfall.
  12. I understand wanting Halloween weekend business, but this now leaves two prime early November slots, specifically Veteran's Day weekend, nearly empty. It'd be a big waste to only have The Amateur open there, I suggest one of the holiday tentpoles move up.
  13. IMAX early access shows of Civil War will play on April 8.
  14. Yes, correction: this appears like it'll be at most major chains. Alamo Drafthouse is starting to post times as well.
  15. In case you've missed any of the live-action Spider-Man movies in theaters over the years, AMC is re-releasing all of them once a week starting on April 15 with the 2002 Spider-Man.
  16. Shrek 2 20th Anniversary opens April 12, I'll look for a ticketing date. Showtimes are appearing with Thursday previews starting at 4pm. EDIT: On sale March 8
  17. Cryptic’s date is correct, looks like the 13th. As Porthos mentioned, I never posted a date for GxK until now (Not that I’m devaluing the contributions of others to this thread). I’m pretty sure the ticketing dates posted here, both by myself and others, have been right way more than they’ve been wrong.
  18. Mutant Mayhem did underperform, regardless of its sequel announcement. Its opening wasn't great, its domestic total was rather weak despite solid legs, and its overseas numbers were, to be quite honest, very poor. Perhaps it did well on VOD/streaming, but considering there weren't any headlines about how huge its debut was in that realm, I'll assume it did good/fine at best. That being said, I believe Paramount greenlit a sequel not basing it purely on the box office, and I think we'll start to see more sequels greenlit following that line of thinking in the future (Funnily enough, the first Dune and Ghostbusters: Afterlife come to mind for me as titles whose box office numbers don't look great without context but sequels were initiated nonetheless). It was mentioned elsewhere that merchandise sales off Mutant Mayhem were very strong, but I also think they fairly feel that, given the strong reception to MM, a sequel will see an increase similar to Spider-Verse 1 -> 2 or even this weekend's Dune 1 -> 2 growth.
