    Well i think they will recast the young actors in a 3rd movie anyway. If the rumours are true Zach signed for 7 pictures then they were expecting recasting the younger actors later on.

    Everyone should compare this to Ant-Man. Deadline does that too. Ant-Man was a hit and Shazam is already a hit too after its Opening week already almost making 2 times its production budget.

    Well i guess in your logic Captain America 1, Thor 1 was huge flops then and Ant-Man also had a mediocre to bad performance.

    Ant-Man too with a bigger production budget and marketing too likely. It Made 519 million taking out its China gross it comes down to 413 million.

    Was Ant-Man a flop to you. If you take out the 106 million it made there its sitting on 413 million with a larger budget and marketing than Shazam ever had. Face it Shazam is already on 2 times its budget in Opening week. That is fantastic for any movie and is already a hit 4 days into its opening. If you actually think this is bad either you do not know anything about Boxoffice or yeah you are rightfully labeled as a troll.

    They love childish movies there with big spectacle. Warcraft says hello here. Shazam failed there because of Movies with such subjects are usually banned there i believe Suicide Squad was banned because of this.

    Hell Deadline said 150 million WW at first before the weekend. Its over that and that is with its underperformance in China. This is a very good number.

    Yeah it did very good in the other markets. In China only 25% go back to the studio anyway. If it made 100 it would have gotten 25 million. Now with likely 50 it will get 12 million. Not really anything to worry about.

    Very nice to see Shazam beat estimates and delivering such a good number for OW.

    Maybe but Shazam will be much more profitable from its theattrical gross and will have no problem spawning a sequel.

    Come on man Captain America 1 made 370 million from a budget of 170 million and was considered a hit. Shazam cost 80 million will likely make that too if not more. Thor 1 budget was 150 million made 449 million and was also a hit. You seriously don't think Shazam will be a hit too and get a sequel too ?

    Agreed and even if its not doing to good in China which was a given with the subject matter of the . Its still only would collect 25% there. It will get a sequel its gonna be a hit for Warner.
