I'm LOVING this show so far. I have Not read the book and that's good. I didn't read anything with GOT either but I got into that show like 3-4 years into it. I just like being back into the GOT world. Seeing the Targaryen's at the height of their power or I guess the descent of their power actually. The characters are interesting so far and I'm very interested where it goes. I'm not going to be excited about dragons dying. BTW, I'm rewatching GOT while watching this and episode 1 and 2 of that are just...so good. I also wanted to rewatch because I didn't remember how Daenerys got her dragon eggs. So it was a wedding gift and the guy says time had turned them to stone, so now I gotta see why they hatched. Also some lady in the episode was saying how men had killed all the dragons, so I'm not excited about seeing dragons get killed as Rhaegal and Viserion dying were moments. Anyway, this show has me glued each week. Appointment tv no question.

I'm trying to keep up but it's slow. I'm an episode behind now so I gotta get on it.

So I waited all week to watch this because I was seeing it with a friend and I wanted to watch a couple reviews after I had seen this. First my friend who knew nothing of the mini controversy and was mildly interested in this said she loved it. Was very entertained by it. I was also entertained. This was a good film for me. The director described it as historical fiction and that's fine for me. Was this kingdom saints. Absolutely not but who was back then anyway. They covered the topic of the slave trade and african kingdoms being involved in it. That's good enough for me. I loved the music in this film and the actors did a very good job. Viola Davis and Lynch leave a memorable impression. There's good action and the story was easy to follow. I almost want to see it again and kind of wish I saw it opening weekend with a larger audience.

I need Keep Rising from The Woman King to be nominated and performed. That's the song for me this year. It's so good.

I watched the re-release in 3D. The film still holds up. I was jump scared and it had my attention throughout. The 3D was as usual trash but I did see it on a huge screen with good sound and heated recliners so the overall experience was a good one. Popcorn could have been better.

I watched this earlier in the week and I thought it was good. There's a bit in the middle where it suddenly goes back in time and I was like what is this but once I saw what was happening. I was fine with it. Anyway, if you've seen this film towards the end I was really thinking they might make Long's character the victor here. He could have been the last survivor while killing a monster that lived to tell the tale and I was envisioning them doing clips of the aftermath showing how he's got a movie role starring as himself in a film about this. The allegations against him get totally forgotten. His life just gets saved despite him being a dirty dog tossing that woman off the water tower. Was anyone else thinking that?

I do hope this show comes back. I don't watch anything else but this and the Oscars. The others I just lookup who won what. Bring back Gervais or Chappelle or someone relevant to host. The Globes can hype up their new members and show their hands at being more diverse.

Finished Heartstopper this morning. Twenty-five minutes is a perfect running time for a episode I think. You can binge it all in a few hours. It's actually only about 3.5 hrs total . Bit more than a movie so you can flesh things out . It's fine the way it ends so if that's it then that's okay too .

It's been generally okay overall. I wasn't a fan of the brit accent/character or Ethan Hawke's character and his horrible voice. I have enjoyed the costumes with the Moon Knight character and the Egyptian god elements. My favorite sequence so far was moving the stars back 2000 years. I don't quite get what is happening in the last half of episode 4, so we'll see what happens. I also wasn't a fan of them releasing 4 episodes for review when there are only 6 . I was half watching a streamer comment live during each episode but they already watched the four episodes so it's not the same type of experience for the viewer knowing they saw it .

So I watched the Frank Herbert's Dune Miniseries made for tv. Opened an unopened copy of it my dad never opened and watched. It was pretty nice and got me quite interested in Dune Part 2. I'm ready to experience the awesomeness of certain scenes put to film. I promptly rewatched the current Dune film right after that. There's also a Children of Dune dvd out which I might take a look at too.

First, I wanted to watch the replay after work but freaking Hulu was a punk and took forever to put the thing up so I settled for clips on youtube of a couple things. Lame trash.
I enjoyed Amy Schumer's monologue clip and think she should come back as host BY HERSELF.
I read the show went over time anyway even after turning 8 categories into instant replays . Lame trash again. They need to give those nominees and winners the proper actual LIVE recognition they deserve and have earned .
I think best picture nominees should go back to Five. There's no point in 10. It's just a bunch of films the general audience hasn't seen so what's the point. Go back to Five and then we can complain who didn't get in instead of wondering why 5 films with no chance are included.
As for that slap. I liked Shannon Sharpe's take on it. You just don't go around slapping another black man. A joke as mild lame whatever that Rock told isn't worth a slap anywhere let along at the Academy Awards. I'm glad Smith has apologized but he's entering the multiple apology zone. It's out there move on.
Finally, I wish they'd call it the Academy Awards again and not the Oscars.

I love the slew of Awards the film earned. I hope there is a chance at greater recognition with Part 2. Is there gonna be a Part 3?
BTW, Chalamet and that outfit. Come on.
Feyd is gonna be in Part 2? MMMkay. I'm interested.
Looking forward to whenever this is coming out in 2023.
