  1. I enjoyed ep #6. Fraser exploring his crush with the 30 yr old Johnathan and his mother does not seem to mind. His other mother a bit more questioning. Caitlin's relationship with her family seems to be heading toward a more difficult ending. I really like Chloe Sevigny's performance in this series. There's also Caitlin's brother exploring Islam so who knows where that is heading.

  2. We Are Who We Are is a drama limited television series co-created and directed by Luca Guadagnino for HBO and Sky Atlantic. A coming-of-age story set in an army base in Italy, the series follows two American 14-year-olds named Fraser Wilson and Caitlin Harper. The cast includes Chloë Sevigny, Jack Dylan Grazer, Alice Braga, Jordan Kristine Seamón, Spence Moore II, and Scott Mescudi.[1]

The series premiered on September 14, 2020 on HBO in the United States and is set to premiere on October 9, 2020 on Sky Atlantic in Italy.

Just started watching this. The cast is interesting so I gave it a go. It's interesting so far. The show can feel a bit slow because though they are hour episodes to me it can really linger. I liked the how the first two episodes played out from two different characters viewpoints. Fraser and Caitlin are both interesting characters. Not totally likeable though. How his mother puts up with his anger bursts is surprising. The music in the show isn't really doing much for me except for some Nomi clips that I enjoyed. Currently watching Ep 4 and this party day is ridiculous. Danny just used a line "Your hair is incredible" to Caitlin. Lol. I was thinking that from the start.

    Anyone else viewing this?

  3. Synopsis:

Lovecraft Country is an American horror drama television series developed by Misha Green based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Matt Ruff. Starring Jurnee Smollett and Jonathan Majors, it premiered on August 16, 2020, on HBO.[2] The series is produced by Monkeypaw Productions, Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Bros. Television Studios.

The series is about a young black man who travels across the segregated 1950s United States in search of his missing father, learning of dark secrets plaguing a town on which famous horror writer H. P. Lovecraft supposedly based the location of many of his fictional tales.

Who has been watching or watched this? What are you thoughts?

I only just started and I just learned there are only 6 episodes but they are a full hour each. The first one was a bit slow to get into but once the fantastical stuff is introduced I'm just straight hooked on this. I found it so interesting to be integrating 50s America, racism issues, and mythical elements in the story. It's funny because the only reason I was originally gonna watch was because in the trailer it had UFOs and weird creatures so I thought it was some science fiction show. It's less about aliens and more about wizards, wolves and monsters. I think I'm on #4. Just finished the episode with Ruby transforming into a white woman and it's cool they kept that lady with the dogs. I'm loving this show so far. High quality and interesting.

  4. Finished this over a couple days. Had to finally watch this and it was Amazing. I loved it start to finish. Yes if you have no clue about the Watchmen it may be difficult to get into since it thrusts you into Tulsa OK 1921. Interesting start to a comic book based show but it had me from the get go. The whole cast was flat out great. The story was interesting and had turns and unusual moments throughout. The best episode for me was #8 which was essentially a comical though provoking first date. I also enjoyed the score and song selections were fantastic. The visuals were excellent. One thing they could have added was a Redford cameo. Finally, the ending is perfect. It reminded of the end to Being There. This needs no continuation or anything. It's a fantastic 9 episode run and that's that.

  5. The last episode was pretty good. I liked that they revealed the origin of Stormfront but not the actual reason they came up with. The nazi white race supremacist bit is just lazy. Obviously it makes her a complete bad person you can't even love to hate. You can't even do that with Homelander anymore since he's partnered with her essentially. I liked the introduction of these other manufactured supes in that prison and the origin of Frenchie.

  6. Finally finished Season 2 and I'm a bit disappointed in the direction the show has gone. The last episode with that big fight was cool but ridiculous at the same time. No teachers no security no nothing. Kreese being back as a guy you hate is just too easy too convenient. We can't have a rivalry between Johnny and Daniel without Kreese and without the ultra bullying and aggressiveness of the students. All those kids would be expelled or suspended today and what competition would even allow such known aggressive students? I liked the campy feel of some of the episodes and scenes and #9 was awesome but then 10 just went the wrong way.

  7. As much as I enjoyed seeing Tenet in theatres, the studios can't be risking anymore big budget films in 2020. They need to move this and Dune to 2021. I Will Wait so they can earn more at the box office rather than taking a big fat loss attempting to pvod it. Now, smaller flicks like Bill and Ted...get that trash in theatre already. Move Mulan there too. Move Black Widow to 2021.

  8. Who else is/has watched this?

I've got a couple more episodes to blast but I'm enjoying it so far binging it. I like the cast. My favorites so far are Evans and Martell. Dockery as the wife is playing it fine but idk how he can stay married to a woman who thought the way she did. Cherry Jones...a familiar face was excellent as the lawyer. I'm just at a point where things are turning again. Btw, I don't see how they could bring charges on a kid with no weapon, no evidence other than a fingerprint which could be explained. Strange behavior after finding the body but I hate that part about extremely circumstantial cases. I'm beginning to warm up to JK Simmons right about now.

  9. Almost done with this. I keep getting bogged down on the last 2 episodes. Ratings so far.

    Episode 1 - Meet in the Middle - A

    Episode 2 - Downtime - A

    Episode 3 - The Who of You - B

    Episode 4 - Ovation - B

    Episode 5 - Among the Untrodden - A

    Episode 6 - 8 - haven't finished

    Episode 7 - A Human Face - B

  10. The Twilight Zone is an American anthology web television series developed by Simon Kinberg, Jordan Peele, and Marco Ramirez, based on the original 1959 television series created by Rod Serling. Peele serves as narrator, in addition to executive producing through Monkeypaw Productions. The weekly series premiered on April 1, 2019, on CBS All Access, and was renewed for a second season halfway through its first set of 10 episodes. The second season was released in its entirety on June 25, 2020.

Season 2 was released in late June. I just now signed up to start watching and get this out of the way for 6$. I previously had CBS All Access when it first premiered for Season 1. I liked that season though it was very sjw. This season is much more appealing to me. I really liked the first two episodes. The third was interesting but it's resolution a bit meh. The fourth was too one note but they've all had my attention so far.

  11. I only caught the last 30 of BP tonight but even that last bit was still entertaining. I would be satisfied with Shuri as BP now plus it would be in line with the direction Marvel has been taking other characters. Anyway, watching BP made me quite regretful I didn't see it the weekend it came out. I remember driving past one of the theatres and the parking lot was super packed. Just missed out on that opening weekend experience as the crowds were very engaged that weekend.

My guess is that Shuri becomes the face of the franchise now. Or they bring in another actor as a new character. The chances of this getting cancelled completely is unlikely with so much money at stake, plus it would give them a chance to pay tribute to T'Challa/Chadwick.

Of course it isn't getting cancelled, though I don't see anyone dying to have Shuri be BP. That specific actress doesn't do it for me.

Which is astounding. The studios and film makers wold have obviously been aware of the surgeries and chemo treatments - amazing and highly respectable that his secret never leaked.

    2016-2020

    Gods of Egypt
    Captain America Civil War
    Message from the King
    Marshall
    Black Panther
    Avengers Infinity War
    Avengers Endgame
    21 Bridges
    Da 5 Bloods

This reminds me of the Spartacus actor and his cancer documentary. Andy Whitfield in the doc Be Here Now. I'm amazed he was able to work through all these film projects all while getting chemo and treatment and progressively getting worse over time.

A friend sent me a local news image of this and I was like...let me look. I was at cnn, drudge, even the local outlet. They haven't updated their pages yet it's just now circulating. Google news settled it's reality. I'm shocked. I didn't even know he was battling cancer in the ether of information. Terrible, Sad, he was a good actor!
