I thought it was a exciting trailer. I wish they would have shown Cheetah but they are saving that apparently.

Frozen 2 should definitely win for Into the Unknown. Leagues better than Let It Go.

After looking up stats a bit I don't like it. I was going through past years and the yearly is mixing films/dates and grosses in some cases which is distracting and confusing. One film I was researching wasn't even showing up on the yearly. I had to go the the-numbers to find the data. It's a shame some mentally ill person though a redesign was the perfect idea.

The Morning Show got 2 nods just now...no one is even watching that.

But if the votes already happened and people put him in comedy/musical since the film is classified as drama now does that mean those votes in the wrong category are voided ?

THE IRISHMAN
This is a decent film to watch...once. It's no Goodfellas, it's not even a Casino. The film kept my attention throughout though so I wasn't bored. I thought all the actors did great but my standout would be Pacino in his showy role. Anna Paquin's role was a bit embarassing. They should have just got an unknown for such a nothing role.

Film put me to sleep twice but I was awake for the beginning, the end and the best part of the whole film (the Into the Unknown song). That song is a winner and should get an Oscar.

Is this becoming a snooze fest? This mini yoda thing should not have been created. The mini episode stop assisting on that planet. SNORE. I feel asleep the first time and dozed off trying a second time.

Still not a fan of the short sitcom level time limit here. There was a lot of walking in the early part of this episode. I'm not feeling like it's gritty enough for me. We have these war torn ex Empire storm troopers who are just no competition for him. Then, the Mandalorian is blasting/ fending off a gaggle of bounty hunters. Some weak bounty hunters if you ask me. Finally, I'm not a big fan of the "This is the way" mantra. It's already over used in about 2 minutes. All that said, I'm ready to tune in each week and look forward to the next episode.

THE KING
What appealed to me most is the history angle. I'm a sucker for historical films especially stuff dealing with knights, kings, crusades, etc. I thought the film captured the look and feel of that medieval time period. I liked the costume and production of the film. Getting authentic looking armor pieces and knights on horseback, longbowmen and the crossbows. That was all entertaining. As far as the acting, I was pleased with that and every kept me quite engaged despite it's long running time. Didn't really know how things were going to end at that battle until I heard the name of the area. I thought Chalamet was fantastic and he's always compelling to watch in whatever role. Edgerton was good in his role as advisor/war leader. I wasn't a big fan of Pattinson's french english accent. He was a bit distracting. Overall, it was worth a watch.

I streamed through the first season quite quickly. Unfortunately this second season isn't grabbing my attention this time. I'm stuck on episode 3 or 4 atm.

Well I enjoyed the first two episodes but the second being 25 or so minutes was quite trashy to me. If it's going to be a limited series they should all be the same time limit. How hard is that to accomplish? Anyway, I do like what they've shown so far. I have found it interesting and want to see more. I liked the jawas from the last episode. Not that excited about Nolte's character. Hopefully we get off this desert like planet next episode please.

This year's host-less Oscars (even if it was done more out of a sense of " we give up") was arguably the most entertaining ceremony that particular awards show has been in years. You trim a lot of fat that way.
I don't even remember it. That's how non-entertaining it was.
Apparently ratings were up 10% and stopped a downturn but the overall ratings are still unexciting. Cutting the host though to me is not the problem. Assuming there is an actual problem anyway to be solved.

I'm so glad they are having a host and that it's Gervais. I can't stand the host-less shows. It's just stupid to not have someone presiding over it and opening it up and keeping it entertaining otherwise...what's the point of it being on tv?

Doesn't matter now. It can have all the big drops it wants now. It's crossing a billion. Probably the most unexpected billion since AIW.

Amazing performance by Joker. Bohemian Rhapsody was a surprise to me but this is beyond that. Completely zooming past both Deadpools is quite impressive.

Dafoe needs to be in this or BA.

THE LIGHTHOUSE
Watched this movie in one of the coldest theatres I've sat in. Must have been 65 degrees in there. It was immersive in a way because the characters looked to be quite cold in their living situation too. Anyway, I enjoyed the film. The black and white really is a unique movie going experience. It really helps some visuals pop. For example there was a shot where the camera is looking up at Dafoe and the shadows that were created made this almost picture frame look that I liked a lot. I also liked the interior design of the living quarters. It felt very authentic to me. I liked the slow build between the characters and their interaction. There's many scenery chewing moments for both actors. The last few ending scenes were also well done. I think I could watch this again and might buy this on blu.

What Decade have you seen the most films from?

How did you go about classifying all these films?
I have a list of things I've graded from 2004-2019 but seems like a big task to go through every decade somehow. Is there a resource you used or something for things older than 1950?
