    Correct , DL wrote wrong. Here is Disney official report In Latin America, The Lion King is the #4 biggest industry film by admissions. It remained as #1 position at weekend chart in Chile(dropped 19%), Peru (down 35%), Ecuador, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela and #2 in Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. Latin America TOP 3 admission is Endgame, TY4 and FF7.

    Here is studio report. Disney In the Middle East, Toy Story 4 is the highest grossing animated movie of all time across the region. In the Middle East, The Lion King became the third highest grossing film of all time in the region, meaning Disney has the top 3 all-time releases with Aladdin(NO.1), Avengers: Endgame(NO.2), and The Lion King. Means Lion king got nearly $10M on other Middle East. Paramount DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD in United Arab Emirates opened at #3 delivering $500K from 55 locations. The total Middle East region grossed $1.4M. Three years before, the UAE box office occupied more than 60% of the Middle East market (excluding Egypt, Israel and Turkey on the geography). Now, UAE is only about 40%, Saudi Arabia and other GCC member are growing more rapidly.

In 1982 ,an official report shows that a medium-cost movie requires 30 million 35mm copies admissions and 150 million 16mm/8.5mm admission to break even.
