I find the comments about humor messing up the tension in the movie ridiculous. Only two characters do it - Eddie, who always been neurotic and sarcastic and Richie who is literally shown to use humor as defense mechanism throughout his life and even making a career out of his tendency to tell jokes all the time -

Tons of whining about length (which imho is silly, considering how long the novel is), 'the lack of chemistry' which would be amazing considering the cast has insane chemistry if you saw any interviews with them together and 'not scary' - that's just subjective, there's lots of people claiming Chapter 1 isn't scary. The only worrying complaint I saw is the messy first hour but majority claims the last act is amazing and imho it's the last act that always matters most

Yeah, I feel the same. I love the first movie so much and horror is my fav genre so I'm super psyched. Also maybe it will get more people to watch Barry, so really only good things can happen here

The third act is apparantely very emotional and well done so I think it will be, plus there appears to be a lot of humor
