  1. Well finally after some mediocre episodes this episode did something. it was the best episode so far.

We get some good bonding time with bucky and sam and loved the banter btn them especially the whole "Sarah" bit was fun and their dialogue  about cap and bucky moving past his regret was really good.

John walker is simply the best thing about this show. This episode he took it to the next level.

Cameo though not significant was fine.

The racial lens in this was sort of mixed bag for me. Don't get me wrong what he says is true but how it's presented in the show is just kind of shallow and presented over two episodes for about 10mins, no flash back or something significant to put forth the theme. I love that sam even after hearing all isaiah says and later still decides to not let that influence him which made the whole racial lens scene palatable enough for me.

(BTW  cheadle was selected to become the iron patriot which doesn't make what isaiah said wrong but it kind of undermines what the show is trying to say.)

Well what was the fucking point of zemo all he does is made kind of redundant for the show. Zemo was wasted.

    Overall 8.2/10.

Better chemistry btn bucky and sam, everything with walker better, bucky gets a meaningful movement in his arc, better acting all round.

Racial lens  needed more devt and zemo letdown.

I have been trying to reserve full judgement until the end -- since WandaVision started off strong and fucked up its landing -- but after that episode, I've seen enough.  I'm ready to call it.  This is the best thing Marvel's put out since Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Yeah, I said what I said.

    Somewhere Jack Kirby's smiling.

Wanda vision still better  though it fucked up it's ending. FAWS show is all tell and Don't show for the most part.  Like walker's character  and though don't like what they did  with zemo he is still one of the best parts of the show.

Bucky and sam's relationship hasn't been done much with .All we get is the occasional "why did you give up the shield"  conversation.

Kali is just an exposition machine and just simply don't understand her motives. She is downright villainous.

This show has the right ideas and themes but execution is piss poor.

  3.

It had a pretty good first episode but the following two have been all over the place .

Action set pieces are good but

Characters are meh and themes being put forth are not being properly explored and it has 3 eps left.
    Episode3 just fucked zemo's character

All in all WV and this haven't done much for world building for the mcu .Yes they introduce a few things here and there but nothing much is being explored .

Guess they will probably do this in the movies.

Which just makes this shows skippable for me tbh.

  4. Well the finale was terribly underwhelming. Yeah I know people are saying there was too much expectation which is right to an extent  regarding all the easter eggs and references but how wanda's arc was resolved was borderline ridiculous.

I personally feel after episode 5 that this was  going somewhere different and better than the generic and rushed finale we got.

    Movies:

    Karate Kid - 7/10.

The Mexican - 9/10. James Gandolfini's performance is just perfect (brought me to tears once even) and I really enjoyed Verbinski's eccentrities here. Felt like this weird mix of a Soderbergh and Coen brothers movie. Really wish Verbinski does something like this again.

    TV:

The Boys Episode 5 - Another really, really boring episode where it feels like nothing happens. The writers should really think about focusing on a few characters each episode instead of all of them.

Cobra Kai Season 1 - One of the most cliche pieces of garbage I've seen in a long time. I really do not get what a lot of people see in it, espescially when 60% of the show is just terrible high-school romance.

Lost (rewatch) - Started watching this again and this time I'm watching it with my parents. And I'm really surprised by how I'm still enjoying the show eventhough it's not even been 6 months since I last watched it. The pilot is one of the most exhilirating pieces of TV ever imo.

Guess cobra kai just ain't your thing  bruh which is fine.

  6. You should just S2 of the boys for yourself to make a decision.

Have enjoyed S2 so far. Haven't watched ep 5 yet though.

I think I'm  loving it Abit more than S1 tbh.

Have been watching raised by wolves on episode 6 now.

It's intriguing and IAM digging it and would like to see where it goes . But man campeon character is downright annoying.

The real question is, would have Tenet flopped had there been no pandemic?

Based on how well  it's holding in europe and how big presales where in Korea .

It's major competition was morbius and ghostbusters which ain't big competition.

Minions wouldn't have effect on it due to them being of different demographics.

    And basically  free august.

650-700m+  which would be fine .

  8. Watched it... and was meh for me.

" If I can't have you, nobody else can"

That bit of dialogue had me cringing hard. Never thought  I would evet hear such lines in nolan movie.

2020 has been  a wild year.

Watched a second time and it's gets Abit better but still meh.

Cool concept that is used as an action gimmick , don't get me wrong the way it's used is fantastic with exception of the final battle which bugged me more  the second time than the first ,needed better editing and ofcorse lack of tension due not rooting for any of the characters.

-Sound mixing.... Need I say anything.

    -Solid acting but wasted potential.

    -Score was pretty good actually.

    - Editing of the whole movie as a whole made some scenes jarring.

I don't know why nolan tried to cram too much into this movie .

He could have it a two part movie, fleshed out the concept, characters, The past and future and this would have been something cool and great to watch.

Instead we are left with something that lives us with more questions than satisfactory conclusions.

    Nolan just outnolaned himself.

Correct. The point still stands you don't spend $200M on production and $100M on marketing in hopes of a $20-30M domestic opening.

You do know of a pandemic  going. NY and LA are down for now.

Nolan movies open to 50-60m with the US at full strength.

    I think WB knows this.

Like WB released this movie clearly knowing  a smaller opening but hoping for better legs.

    What OW were you expecting??

That's true. But even with the virus, a franchise movie with a ton of hype would still open a lot bigger than what we're seeing with Tenet.

Tenet isn't a franchise movie. The only nolan movies to open big where his batman movies(franchise)

None of Nolan's original movies have opened big and tend to be leggy.

Even without the pandemic   This would have opened to 70 atmost.
