See , I understand your point. You loved the movie and so did many in our forum but many also thought it was just ok. The thing is those section of "DC fans" can''t sabotage cinemascore. They just don't have resources to do so. Also , RT verified score is very reliable. yes, it can get sabotage by usual suspect but chances are very low and at best fraction of reviews. Captain Marvel was sabotaged on RT and Imdb and it has an cinemascore of A.

Audience score is the last thing that will be tampered by fanboy. Samples for survey are random so any theatre can have it. It's not pre planned to sabotage them.

Umm you are projecting your liking on everyone. Deadpool movies has A cinemascore. B+ is not sign of excellent word of mouth whatsoever. Plus , even in our forum many though it was mid and many loved it.

Mortal Kombat also has B+ , Deadpool both movies at A

TSS got B+ cinemascore. Deadpool and Deadpool 2 has A cinemascore. So , wom is good. Nothing extraordinary. I would have compared to other r rated movies but Deadpool is logically the best comparison in this regard. Also , Mortal Kombat had B+ cinemascore. So this is not good in that regard also.

This all just makes Black Widow performance more impressive with over 60m in PA too. Clearly can't ask for more right now.

Yeah one silver lining is that HBO Max is becoming very big with every release

And to say both have around same budget. Suicide Squad is doing horrible if it comes under 30m but people won't accept that. Doesn't matter if it's R rated or not. Opening below Jungle Cruise is bad in every way possible.

Going by reviews I expected a GOTG but this was like GOTG 2. I don't like that movie except some elements and I didn't like many parts of this too. Peacemaker, Polka Dot man and Ratcatcher are great but big yikes for Harley Quinn. I expected Harley Quinn to be the star of this movie but her character arc left very bad taste in my mouth. This movie is not it. Aquaman ,Shazam and Joker were best run of DCEU. Even though I have some minor problems with them. James Gunn fans will probably like this and I can totally understand why.

Ideally TSS should be doing 40m+ OW when even Mortal Kombat opened to 20m+. Anything below 30m,is severe underperformance. No way to spin it.

Can't believe people are comparing a property like Jungle Cruise to The Suicide Squad, A DC movie and actually saying Jungle Cruise has upper hand? I am sorry but Jungle Cruise overperfomed over the weekend, it was looking DOA before. Just because TSS is not performing well so far doesn't mean it's not bigger movie than Jungle Cruise. And don't compare budgets. Disney has a habit of over budgeted movies all the time.

Literally seeing so many ads myself. That's why I posted that comment. Marketing is definetly not the problem. I mean why will WB be selective and promote it everywhere and not in USA? It doesn't make sense. Lack of interest is the problem. Hopefully good reviews and wom lead to success. I want this , Free Guy and Shang-Chi to succeed for no more delays.

Blaming marketing is not right when literally it has one of the biggest marketing campaign during such times. Neither BW, F8 or QP2 got such campaign ,to be fair they were delayed a lot and this was fresh but doesn't that give movie more advantage??Most big movies so far were delayed and had prolong and hindered marketing. Biggest factor is lack of interest even if we subsidize for covid and HBO MAX. I am surprised about this but will wait what people have to say in weekend thread to understand and give my opinions on what happened.
