Looks like keeping reactions till now is a benefit. May have gotten lost in the shuffle last week, while now The Batman is still #1 trending on twitter.

Does RT even matter to general audiences? Critics panned uncharted and it wildly outperformed expectations set before reviews even came out
Eh, Uncharted getting bad reviews is waaaay different than something like this getting bad reviews. DC and RT are kinda a package when it comes to pre-release buzz.

Scott Mendelson being one of the rotten reviews lol

Dog's performance is really impressive. It does seem like the usual film to go straight to streaming, glad to see something low budget do better than expected.
-
I saw familes with small children at my showing of Uncharted lol. Turning Red goint straight to streaming was suuuuuch a dumb move.

Just got out of Uncharted. Uh... not good lol it's entertaining but this feels like the usual video game adaptation flop. So I guess go Tom Holland!

Seeing as Tom Holland is an executive producer on this movie, if he cares about being in good movies, he should pull a similar card to Tom Hardy with Venom and kick Ruben Fleischer out of the Director's chair for the sequel.
Venom 1 was better than 2 though lol (well imo)

The No Way Home drop... lol crazy

Wow. Really great for Uncharted and that # is big enough to get to $100m for sure. Will it get there before Batman? Eh but it'll play all of March. And even if this is an IP it's cool to see something other than a superhero movie do these #s
-
If Dog really does over Death on the Nile wow. Lost City will make bank.

Lol. Given how March is I bet Uncharted will have good holds after Batman's opening.

I mean isn't uncharted sold as a tom holland spectacle?
And if it's doing $30m+ based more on Tom Holland as opposed to the brand... then that's good.

Happy for Sony, them not having a prominent streaming service is a plus for theaters. Their commitment to theatrical is working. Idk about Morbius (the move probably was the right move tbh) but Across the Spider-Verse will be big.
-
Almost shocked about Dog before I remembered the 2/14 showings. It may have a decent opening though we'll see.

This would have been easily passed $120m if they had only delayed the D+ release to January.
I will never under the rush to put it on D+.Unfortinately with how big Encanto has gotten from its D+ release I bet Chapek and co will (stupidly) make this the norm.
-
Idk if it's enough to push it over $100m but that would be nice.
I think I'll rewatch Encanto soon because I wasn't that crazy about the music when I watched it and I love Disney soundtracks
-
Yeah I don't think this needs another trailer. This is gonna be really big.
-
I feel like Death on the Nile will have good legs. It's a decent movie and the opening wasn't that bad, would've been over Gucci's 3-day without Super Bowl. It can play throughout March with nothing besides Batman if it manages to keep theaters.
-
Wonder how the budget is on this.
I'm very intrigued. Thinking this has potential.
-
I liked Death on the Nile much more than MOTOE, kinda wish it managed $15m+. Oh well.

Budget probably ballooned due to covid/delays. Unless this does less than $700m WW it shouldn't be a huge problem.
