There are only about 1650 screens (not theaters) in Africa, with about half in South Africa. Most of the continent doesn't have the density of people with disposable income to make theaters a viable business outside of major cities.

June 22nd I have had 5 different people tell me how much they are looking forward to this even though it is still almost a month away, something that only happened for Endgame. I expect this to do very well in Korea.

I don't know about yesterday, but tickets for the February 28 show are on sale now.

Yeah, I have apparently completely lost my mind. Batman tickets are on sale now, so ignore what I said (except the holiday part).

Presales in Korea normally start a week ahead, so with Batman opening on the first I expect presales to begin on the 22nd. The first is a holiday (National Independence Movement Day) which is presumably why the film is opening on Tuesday instead of the usual Wednesday.

Anyone know a good source for Korean release dates of Hollywood movies (한국어로 괜찮아요)? IMDB is pretty good when they release within a few weeks of the US, but for things that don't release quickly (e.g. Nightmare Alley) they tend not to get updated until the movie actually releases.
