it might take some limping, but it seems like avatar 2 should be able to hit my success barometer, a ww-c gross above NWH, not a lock yet, but I like what im seeing We even have in titanic, a pretty excellent target for an overperformance kinda disappointed my 3 billion predictions(aka dreams) probably wont come true, but I cant be mad at a run like this and its not like it would have been that far away with a full strength china

I actually disagree after the first week or 2 and before spoilers become commonplace, box office performance is pretty much the only thing that the news can say about a movie, so they can have an effect, specially among those that mostly get their info from traditional media. I also think that the GA hasnt really gotten the memo that 1 billion isnt the most impressive thing in the world.

no pretty clear that exchange rates are pretty trash these days, that could easily change by 2024, china could be losing like 500 million from covid, plus there still maybe 10% or so of the audience that hasnt returned yet because of covid, maybe the weak economy is hurting it more than we thought and russia its of course too early too say anything, but if this ends with more than 2.2 billion and 3 is much more critically acclaimed and looking to release in a better environment, I see no reason for ironjimbo to change his predicting methods too much (as long as its not 4 billion talk)
